Settle down bro. Breathe. Ok maybe i can help you. What kind of a connection do you have? Are you playing ppl with 0 star conn? I mean if you are then this is your problem. I only play ppl with atleast a 3 star connection. I have never really had that many problems with online play except for lag.
Truthfully,Gamespy is the worst server ever and your right it has the most problems. I wish i knew why,But unfortunately i dont. Dont go getting mad at this game its not worth it. This is supposed to fun and not something to be aggravated about.
I do have a question for you. What exactly happens when you get kicked out of a room?

And yeah roadrunner cable is the shit, i had that when i lived in the city, it was also free for the apartment, In college so the only thing in college housing you have to pay for, other then rent, was the water. I loved that cable too...hmmmm, wish i could have brought it with me, downloadin' movies was a sinch lol takes me twice as long on dsl,man that roadrunner can put out now.
Nothing in the world like free high speed internet service...well maybe there is one thing....
Suggestion: Well so what did everyone think of the suggestion i had made about room 1 being limited to ppl with rank 10k or less? And actually there really isn't any need for an "Any Kombat" room, player created rooms are any kombat.
I know that would be a long stop for the wonderful fellas that run the servers, but i think it would kinna balance out alot and the other rooms used regularly which i think would be nice, and i think for the ones that have 10k rank and less it would make for a muuuuch better room, you'd know who the better players are and know where to find them if ya wanna play.
I know when i stay up all night sometimes and play mk online, room 1 is actually pretty good room to be in cause there's only like 30 people in there at most, sure half of them are afk but you know the ones that are fighting aren't afk ppl pop in and out all the time. I kinna think when rooms get more then 40 people in there the performance of that server drops alot.

Personally i'd leave the firewall running on your router and just set exceptions. By turning off your firewall, your computer(s) and gaming do run the risk your game lag increasing do to nonsense activity that your router is no longer dealing with it and there's also your computers, the reason your using a router is 'cause you have other things using the same internet connection so you share it off and so on a yada, and a little more technical garbage.
To sum it up, it's up to you but i'd leave it on and set exceptions...
