Online tournament

I want to get together an online tournament. If anyone is interested please post here and we can set it up. I would like to get it going this weekend if possible. It will only be for people with headsets, and it will take place in a private room. If people want to do this I will post a bracket on my website that will show people how it will go. I figure it can be for about 20 or so people since I really haven't seen more than 50 or 60 people on at a time.
I will be on all night tonight if you want to chat online. It will be either single double elimination rounds(depends on what people want to do) and the final postings will be put up in a new post the day after the tournament. This is just for fun and if it goes well I would like to have one each week or so. Please post any ideas or comments about this. I am bruvel online also. If you see the handle ACID that is me under my buddies name. For this to work people will have to be honest about who wins and who loses, and let me know at the end of the match. I think that the best way is for one match to take place at a time. While they are going on we can just chat and discuss MKD. Also feel free to add me to your buddly list here or in the game.

i have the headset and i will probably be online tonigth.
i was #30 on the ladder yesterday when i stop playing i'll try to continue my ascension to the top.it's just a bitch how people with a high rank just refuse challenge.

well.... back on topic, do you have rules set up for the tourny? i would like to propose a no death trap rule. Only use stages like PORTAL,DARK FOREST so only skills would be put to test. no cheapness.

Great idea! I hope this will not be the last. I would like to participate. My PS2 is online, but I have not fought MK online yet. When would the tournament take place? I will not be able to be online all day both days; will we be able to pick a time when we will be online? Also, it may be a good idea to simply schedule the matches and let those pitted against each other decide when they will be online to play? Just an idea.
What is your website? How many will be particpating?

I think that the no death trap rule sounds like a good idea. I figure about 20 people can compete. Also the idea of people setting the matches and letting the people decide when to play sounds like a good idea. However, I think that it would have to be on the day that the tournament would be held. Seeing as how I just posted this today I think that next Fri., Sat, or Sun. would be a good day to hold it. My website it http://www.cis.ysu.edu/~scanavan/MKD/MKDMain.htm. This is going to be dedicated to MKD only. Right now there isn't really anything on it ( I just started it today).
I will be updating it regularly. If these tourneys take off and other things will start to happen I will use it as a portal for those things as well. I will post what rules I have so far on the website; check them out and let me know what you think. You can email me at silence_first@earthlink.net.

I just put up a tentative list of rules for the tourneys, you can check it out at
MY MKD WEBSITE. Please email me (you can from the website)with your MKD online handle so that I can get an exact list of who wants to do this. Once I get enough names I will set up the bracket and get a date together. Thanks for the interest.

The first tournament will most likely be Oct. 15 or 16. I need for people to email me and let me know for sure who is going to be in it. I can't make the bracket unless I have this info. Please email me at silence_first@earthlink.net. Once I have confirmation that enough fighters want to be in it I will set it up. The sooner the better. Those that already posted for this can you still email so I know for sure that you are in it. I need to add you to the list. I figure we need at least 10 people to be in it for it to be worth it, but the more the better.

Well you got to do this.
#1.Sign up for an account.
#2.Go to your account.
#3.Once you is at your account look for accounts
#4.Then look for Create Teams
#5.Add your MK figther name ect..
If or After you want to join the Tournament.
#1. Go to your account
#2.Look for accounts
#3.Click on Manage Teams
#4.There should be whole buch of menu ect.
#5.At the very bottom look for Join Tournaments Then your all set ect..
It's a 16 Player Mortal Kombat Tournament.How ever i can make it to a 32 player Tournament.
Here is the Brackets for it. All you do is report the match ect.. But must have a S2Battles account to join. www.s2battles.com to join.

Whats going to happen if the two players matched up have connection inadequete problems? I think this is going to mess up any tourney.

Well the players play best of 3 or 5 games.If they drop or connection problems. here what i have on my ladder rules ect..
No Shows and drops
* If someone does not show up for an Accepted challenge at the specified time the match will be considered a loss.
* All games must be played until complete, if a player drops at anytime during the match and does not reconnect or contact the other player within 10 minutes the game will be a loss for the disconnected player.

Anyone that wants in the tournament go to s2battles.com and register for the MKD ladder tournament.
E I am set up for the ladder.
I am also setting up a new clan and will have to make some ladders for that in the future.

Boards will now be chosen at random, death traps will be allowed.
I am also going to update my site tonight with a fatality/moves/keys list. It won't be done until late tonight so check later if you want.

Are you adamant on the headset thing? I wouldn't mind playing, but I don't own a headset, and I'm not planning on buying one...
