Negative1, this thread wasn't pointless until you posted, and it turned into a flame war. Cowbell makes a valid point, in that it seems kinda wierd that the proportion of new characters is smaller than usual.

But actually I think 8 out of 24 is a pretty good equation. 8 essential returning characters, 8 new ones, and 8 where they can bring characters back that have shown interest, or try to reinvent a few that have not.
