I agree... the 3rd one reflects the ending of the character

i hope we get something more than just koins and a slideshow when we beat the game, or else it wont really be an accomplishment lol

i think the slideshow endings are a good thing because the videos in mk 4 for example just showed people getting killed and told little if any of the story. the slide show endings tell more of the story and to me that is better than seeing someone get blown up.

I can see that happening. But if the they do have an ultimate, that's the one that should be unlocked through the Krypt so it feels like an accomplishment, and the alt. should be recieved after beating it with that character. I also like the idea of the ultimate reflecting the characters ending. I'm just hoping that when you unlock Noob-Smokes alt. you unlock it for both of them at the same time.

Someone said this on another board that most likely, it'll be Noob-Smoke, the alternate as only Noob Saibot, and the 3rd alternate as only Smoke. That would be awesome, but who knows what they come up with. 21 more days..

Has there been anything to hint that there will be 3 costumes or is it something the fans are willing to believe just because they wast it so bad?

Well, if is like that, then that would explain why Noobs alt. has him sharring Smokes color pattern and his human skin tone. And if it's true, then I think that would kick ass, I always thought that Noobs alt. was kick ass, for him or Smoke, and if it serves both, all the better.

Yeah, I think that the ultimate costumes will either be unlocked in the krypt, or buried in konquest mode. Same goes for the alternates though. I wish that you would unlock a new costume when you beat the game with a character, but I have a feeling that won't be the case. There are what, 400 some koffins? They've gotta fill them with something, and I have a feeling that costumes will take up a solid percentage there.
As for the endings, I like the still images. I just hope that they look a bit more artistic than the ones in MK:DA. Those looked a bit too computer generated if that makes any sense. I also hope that they have more pictures per character. I know that two has been the standard since the very beginning almost, but it'd be nice to get about 4 pictures and a nice full and satisfying ending for each character. That would be just as rewarding to me as getting a costume.
I would however kinda like to see a portion of the story screen devoted to the chosen character doing a kata while their story is spoken by "the voice." They did that in MK1 and I really dug that. Also, the return of a screen that showed your character and the opponent about to face off would be a welcome re-addition. Though leave the kombat kodes out. I just liked the ones from MK2.
Oh, and yeah, the video endings from MK4 were really lame and not well acted at all. I remember laughing my ass off during Reptile's ending. His voice sounded all slithery and just plain silly.

That sounds like a plausable theory. It would be better though if the alts were unlocked by beating the game, but we already have seen Scorp's alt being unlocked in the krypt. Oh well.

I would definitely like to see the ultimate costume be a representation of the character at the end of MK:Deception. Thats a great idea.
All the costumes should be in the krypt. So as it feels like more of an accomplishment.
The Noob Smoke situation should be if you get an alt it is for both of them and the same with there ultimate. It just seems logical.
There should be at least 4 pictures in each ending.
