Well he is my favorite MK character and it'd be cool if he did return. However, I think the Sub-Zero that we see in Mortal Kombat: Deception is the grandmaster Sub-Zero. I know that it seems that his scar is gone but I think it has to do with the powers of the Dragon Medallion.

If I remember correctly, I think DArque mentioned something in the chat that he heard that they just forgot to add the scar.

Either way, it's most logically the Grandmaster Sub.

I'm in agreement that the Sub-Zero is more than likely Grand Master Subbie. However if Scorpion can come back as a spectre, then who says the old Sub-Zero can't as well? ^_~ Just a thought.

it would be cool to see the original Sub Zero....but i agree that he is the Grand master Subbie from MK:DA,not the original one....and his ponytail and "shredder" look....both are great....

ok didnt frost freeze the subby in mkda? and then she took the medallion but then she froze as an effect right? i believe i am correct. and i believe that shredder looking subby is the first the older brother sub-zero from mk1 and 2. when u look at his face theres no scare and his eyes r like scorpions. i bet u any thing hes the first subby as a specter to help his brother. and possibly help scorpion to kick quan chi's ass since chi did set them both up. or maybe he would help quan chi and want revenge on scorpion but i like the scorp and sub team up idea better.

Yes you are correct about Frost's ending-- but until MKD, there is absolutely no proof it happens in the actual storyline-- and besides Sub-Zero's ending is a followup on Frost's proving even if Frost's ending did happen-- Sub-Zero is still around-- which would make it more likely that he is the one returning and not the older subzero. Besides the scar isnt important this early in development-- heck the forgot to add the scar on subzero's mk4 revision 1 select screen picture, and early mkda subzero sketches-- it means nothing yet.

they didnt forget his scar in mk4. and i just cant believe it is him. i mean his hair, the eyes, no scar all doesnt make since for it to be the younger sub zero

No look at a screen shot from revision 1 of MK4 his character select screen picture shows him with NO scar.

Though this is a pre revision 1 picture, it still proves my point, notice Sub-Zero WITHOUT a scar.

I'm pretty sure it's Sub-Sixth.

I wouldn't mind but it would be kinda unlogical if the original SubZero returned.

I really really hope that this is the original and that the MKDA one is also in the game too, make it have a twist, something to do with the dragon king, frost, scorpion and between the two sub-0 brothers, i do hope that the one we have been seeing recently is the original sub-zero, I really hope!!!

Older Sub-Zero was only in MK1

He was in MK1, UMK3, MKT, and MKM. Hopefully MKD!

In MK2 didn't have the scar/mark, became it in the MK3 when Sub-Zero betrayed the Lin Kuei Clan.

Look at the masked Sub Zero's UMK3/MKT endings. It tells you that it's NOT the same Sub Zero as Scorpion killed in MK1. Nor is it the younger Subby, it says something about it being someone from an old tournament.

So original Sub Zero's really only been in MKM and MK1, before being killed off. I personally think he should stay dead, the younger Grandmaster one's far better.

The dragon medallion would leave me to believe that this sub-zero appearing in MKD is in fact Sub-zero (6th). Although I suspoes it is very possible for both sub-zero's to appear.

Though I dont think that the Sub-Zero in MKD is the original Sub-Zero, I disagree with you about his UMK3/MKT ending-- I think the ending says its not the younger Sub-Zero and he IS the original Sub-Zero from the "previous" tournament-- or-- MK1. They could be shocked to find out its not the younger brother Sub-Zero because both Earth and Outworld thought the original Sub-Zero to be dead.

The UMK3/MKT masked Sub Zero isn't the MK1 guy. His ending says that everyone thought he was, but he took off his mask, and turned out to be someone different, who must have taken part in a different tournament.

It's probably a non canon addition, just an excuse to get another character out of the male ninja sprite.
