I know the Joker, Darkseid, Green Lantern, Doomsday and Lobo would be great for this game, but considering the game's theme, what about some of DC/Vertigo's characters written for mature audiences?
1. Spider Jerusalem (Transmetropolitan) - Fights dirty. Bowel Disruptor a must for his fatality/brutality.
2. V - Makes good use of knives.
3. Rorschach/Dr. Manhattan/Silk Spectre II/The Comedian - The timing is right for Watchmen characters.
4. The Sandman (Neil Gaiman's Sandman) - his special moves could be pretty trippy
5. Bigby Wolf from Fables - Animality
6. The Adversary from Fables as a boss (the fake and real Adversary I suppose)
7. Swamp Thing - He's probably gotten more attention thus far than anyone else I've mentioned, but he'd be fun to fight with

I don't think V is owned directly by DC.
V is a real badass though, he doesn't get nearly enough attention. I loved V for Vendetta. I want a V mask XD
anyways if by whatever force of nature V was in the game, you can bet your ass I'll buy it.

V for Vendetta was published by DC in '86 and they hold the copyright. I have the old books. If DC didn't own the character, there's no way Alan Moore would have let them produce the movie, he hates seeing his material ruined on film, especially after how horribly From Hell and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen were produced.
Fortunately, I think they did a great job with V and it looks like the Watchmen flick is going to be even better.

i just read the watchmen, and although i severely doubt any of them will make it, i really wish we could get rorschach. he's so fucking awesome.

Elseworlds and Vertigo characters aren't members of the "DC Universe".

Bane should have been in instead of CATWOMAN.

I'd love for Silk Spectre II to be in the game.

I think Clayface was a good Idea.
Bane would be awesome.
V is owned by DC so why not.
As for MK side:
Goro
Emperor
Raiden
well over the top I watched the gameplay there wer about 20 choosable character Icons and probably 4 unlockables.

V ISN'T apart of the DCU and doesn't need to be in this game either way, Alan Moore's creations have been shit on enough.
