Picked up the PSM, got some details for you folks.

Okay, first things that went untouched are...

The chess like game, says in itself the characters in those screens are indeed confirmed. How? Well, It says you deal it out in basic Kombat mode, AFTER picking the characters VIA select screen. The characters the are used in regular battle mode, and can help people learn more about their characters. So, Kitana, and Quan are confirmed.

Along with this, another untouched thing was, that all characters will have their classic moves back along with new ones never seen before EVER. Which means Kenshi and Ermac will both have TK lifts and such. The characters will have up to 3 costumes as I've seen. One default, One Alt, and another ( Classic ), I'm guessing.

Along with this...Hotaru is dressed in Yoshimitsu type apparel with the flags and such-Samurai armour. Hotaru could be Dairou, name changed. He is armoured, and bares no weapon i can see.

Plot wise...
I'm quoting this...
"What can you tell us about the story? For instance, where does the title, "Deception," come from?

Mk Deception's story picks up right where Deadly Alliance left off, literally. Right off the bat, players will see what happens to the Deadly Alliance of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, as well as finally being introduced to the Dragon King, who is our new boss character. The word "Deception" has multiple meanings in the latest MK. Characters in the game will be deceived, players will be deceived, and magazine editors will be deceived...just kidding. One of our goals in Mk Deception will be to never let the player feel like he can predict where the story is heading, so we have a lot of twists in directions that not many will be able to guess.

This is pretty old. We pretty much got all the info way earlier. Doesnt matter though, it wouldnt hurt to read everything again.smile

Thanks for the info on Hotaru and 3 outfits but the chess game characters are not confirmed!!!

They could had been used only for testing. That would explain why we only see the ones of MKDA looking the way they did in that game.

True, but the scorpion sprite on the board is very much different then the DA one, from my POV. I'm just looking it over, quite frankly, I think the game's going to be nice.

It's pretty easy to say it's confirmed though, because the article was put together with screens all at the same time, and development is nearly half way through, if not more. so the models in the game are pretty much there. they may just be random characters plotted in, so don't count them out.

Sindel. She's looking pretty nice, although I'm not in favor of her return, but where there is Sindel, and Kitana...The ruler will return as well I'm guessing. So I'm going to take a swing and say Shao Kahn is back.

Maybe, but we still have like 6 months so, we will only have to wait. Besides, the pic of the chess looks old, as if done a long time ago, same with the other mini game. I think they will be imrpoved.

The development started right after DA was done, if not during. I'm thinking that. I'm also taking a huge SWING that Smoke is returning. The concept art doesn't confirm, but it does seem like it. The characters seen in ALOT of the concept art do appear on the select screen. I'm hoping he appears.

It also looks like Reptile isn't even mentioned...perhaps he won't be appearing, same with Sektor, and Cyrax.

The woman is INDEED Sindel. She's confirmed in a screen, and a concept sketch. It IS sindel.

I think the possible reason reptile is not in the article, is his affiliation with the dragon king.. he probbly is the dragon king, and I don't want to see that mo fo, till I pop the game in my console.

I don't wanna see any more characters released unless it's just info. I wanna marvel in glory at how they look when it's released, or when i pick up the strategy guide, which i hope contains everything, haha!

I don't need to. Things change.They also said that Blaze and Mokap were gonna have fatalities. It was not confirmed. The ending only says he was filled with an uncanny esence. We don't know what yet, though. So we can wait and see...
