i really didn't havae a problem with the graohics execpt li mei but i did have a problem with the controls

The only plastic looking character was Nightwolf, but he seems ok now.

I wouldn't say MKDA's graphics were plastic-looking. Then again, I'd disagree with those who say how realistic the series looked earlier in its life.
MK1 has the most realistic looking characters, but to me that's mostly down to the dark/light patterns on them. There's not a lot of actual detail there, making it look lke a photo
After that, the series becomes noticably more gaudy. MKII and UMK3 had great graphics, but they didn't look as realistic (more like too much spandex...)
MK4, yes, had the most unrealistic graphics of the lot (mind, the faces looked really good though). But at least the bodies, like Reptile's, had very good proportions on them; combine this with MKDAs excellent models (improved on in MKD, which is great) and it'd look very, very good!
