Since The Dragon King is already confirmed as MKD's final boss, I am hoping the sub-boss is also a brand new monstrosity of some sort, and that neither one of them is playable!

I know that several people think the final secret of MKDA is a playable Moloch without a gameshark, but is this a good idea?

Going all the way back to MK Trilogy, I've never thought having playable boss characters a good idea. They just seem to bring such uneven gameplay when pitted against standard characters or even against other bosses. I tried playing as Goro, Kintaro, Motaro and Shao Kahn in Trilogy, and as Goro in Mk 4 and Mk Gold, but it doesn't seem to feel "right" to play as them!

I think they are called bosses for a reason: they are stronger and nastier and "above" the rest!

With MKD on the horizon, I would be thrilled to see a non-playable sub-boss and The Dragon King! I also hope we never see standard fighters like Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Shinnok as "bosses" again, since their gameplay was the same as the other selectable characters!

Let me know your opinions on this matter!

Thanks!

No playable bosses. If they do decide to make the DK playable, it should be a different toned down version. Bosses are meant to be powerhouses that destroy the player, not vice versa.

have to agree with you i don't like the idea ( no matter what i wanted as a kid) of being a playable boss, i think it would take away from the game just like MK:DA

Maybe they can allow a cheat code to play them, it's always fun to screw around with the bosses and play with them.

I don't think the Dragon King should be playable.
