A game or two?! Stryker and Smoke haven't been in a Mortal Kombat game for the last 9 years, Spanning 4 games.

any charecter that has only been in one game (kai, kabal, etc.) needs to be broguth back and given a little story. I mean, stryker was a cop...and..what? nothing. Scorp and sub have gone though some slight stroy changes, and if they keep fresh story for those two, having them is fine. Mk3 by the way did not suck. the story was a little lacklust, but the game was great. Raidin needs to do something to stay in the game, but quan Chi and Tsung, they should stay..or at least one of them should stay, personally i like Tsung, but they need to give him back the morphing. Sonya and jax are basically the same character storyline wise. Sonya could have killed Hsu hao and jax could have the fued with kano, and nothing would change. One of them has to go. Cage is in the same boat as raidin, do something or get out of the game. but after MK:D, they should make another game that has not story line, just all of the fighters palyable in all of the arenas, kinda like gold was.

Cage died once, if anything Scorpion has died more than anyone. its ok that he keeps coming back though...with the same exact storyline as before, he seeks revenge. however i dont think this warrants excluding Scorpion from the game. same goes for Cage, his character adds some neat elements because its so unique from the other characters. ed boon once said liu kang was like the luke skywalker of MK, if thats the case Johnny Cage could easily be the han solo, the antihero, the one who seems like hes taking nothing seriously but actually is. i think thats a great thing. in no way is his character played out.
