because it will make it a surprise sort of you know, if every body picked the same character then we would obviously have a problem.

I think having your opponent choose your character for you is totally turning people off. They lack of activity in the thread I think shows this. Make it more like the Xbox one and I think we will have better results. People wont be choosing the same characters. Im sure there will be a big variety. If you are worried that tier lists will come out and ppl will just choose the best guy over and over...well that happens to all the best fighting games...its what fighting games are. I know I'll stick with my favs no matter what.
But yea, bottom line: A restriction like that will cause people to not participate...Ill just choose the crappiest character for my opponent and he will the the same to me...its still same vs same except its not even fun.

Count me in. but what's the deal of choosing before the game comes out? ill pick the guy i trainned with.
