I have a theory and frankly i already beat konquest so im debating on if i want to start over to test my theory. Alot of things have been thrown out there to try so someone can perhaps "unlock" something. Well here's my theory. when you beat konquest Onaga tells you that had you collected all the kamidogu they would have been transported up to the gods. Now he also states that the 7th one you are missing is in the hands of a foolish sorcerer. Who is that sorcerer????? At this stage in time it is Quan chi, hence the begining video when raiden kills himself and the dragon king takes quan chis medallion which is the 7th kamidogu. Now if you notice in the alter of the Nexus there is a circular indentation for the medallion to be placed along with the six kamidogu. that is part 1 of my theory.
Part II is when you find Boi Rai Chos medallion you can keep it the whole game because it benifits you or you can return it for koins. Heres the hook line and sinker........Do you think it is possible in the Netherrealm to keep quan chi's medallion instead of delivering it to shinnok???? i mean of course you can keep it, you dont have to give it to him but if you have the medallion and all the kamidogu then technically if it is possible the kamidogu can be transported to the Eldergods because you have all the pieces of the alter correct????? So you think its worth replaying Konquest and keeping the medallion to see if it alters the storyline in the end????
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Im restarting konquest in a new profile to test this out

what do you mean noone has found the RIGHT medallion. There is only one medallion that onaga is talking about and that is Quan Chi's. hence him taking it in the opening video. that is the medallion that was needed to be placed on the alter to send the kamidogu to the elder gods. He also stated it was in the hands of a foolish sorcerer meaning its quan chi's medallion because quan chi has been told to us that he is foolish because he doesn't know how to use it. Maybe there is a certain time to be at the nexus for it to be place. like i said maybe finish konquest with it in your inventory so when you take the 7th kamidogu you have it with you there are many things not unlocked in konquest that boon said are "TIME RELEASED"

There are TWO amulets! remember? Quan Chi gave Shinnok the FAKE amuet (his ending in MK4), there were two: Shinnok even says when you give him the amulet that there's something odd about it, that's because it's the FAKE. The REAL amulet has yet to be found in the game...the one in the Netherrealm is the FAKE - nice theory though, thumbsupskis

There was a rumor floating around a while back that finding the real amulet and placing it at the alter would unlock the realm called the Void. Supposedly, it appears directly across from the other six portals. You supposedly had to find a way to get to Shang Tsung's palace and the amulet is found there. Now, I have no clue if there was any truth to this or not. I assume there wasn't since I never heard any more about it.
