I'm afraid I do not completely understand this post. Care to elaborate further?

In other words: HUH?

in taven's ending in armageddon, one of two things was supposed to happen, either the kombatants would be annihilated, or merely stripped of their powers. the reasons for that were explained in konquest. in taven's ending in the arcade mode after he defeated blaze, it was said that neither option came to pass, but that a third option happened, and and merely postponed armageddon, but did not stop it. therefore i theorize that blaze's essence going thru taven's armor ripped a gateway into the dc universe, thus making this game possible. it's only conjecture at this point, but it makes sense. i guess we'll find out.

The third option was described in the game. When Blaze's corrupted energy passed through Taven's armor, all the fighters' chi powers were enhanced instead of being removed, and the realms became even more unstable.

Hmm...didn't Ed say that part of the plot involves magic making the MK characters stronger in order to compete with the DC characters more fairly?

Perhaps the ending of Armageddon IS the cause of MK vs. DC's plot. Perhaps the fighting in Armageddon becomes so intense and damaging to the fabric of reality that it causes MK's Earthrealm to begin merging with the Earth of a parallel universe - the DCU.

Personally, I think it's more likely that MK vs. DC won't even be connected to Armageddon, that the plot will be a What-If story with its own status quo where Darkseid and Shao Kahn somehow meet one another, team up, and use their combined godlike powers to cause the merger in an attempt to conquer the universe. But at this point, since we know almost nothing, either theory is a good one.

Hmmm...Green Lantern is the Ermac of his reality. I think I'm going to go do a couple sketches of MK characters with DC roles. Very nice...

The only possible canon explanation for MK vs. DCU's story:

Bo Rai Cho once again consumes an exagerated quantity of alcoholic beverages before going to sleep, and when he lies down he starts having this bizarre dream of an unknown realm, identical to Earthrealm, being accessable by the interdimensional portals from wich strange tight spandex suit wielding men come....

lol @ Bo Rai Cho explanation.

Anyways, the Taven thing would be a good way to explain it. If it is canon on our side then the least DC can do is make a comic about it and make it canon on their side.

I think it could work if after Blaze's death the realms begin to merge {kind of like in Annihilation} except that instead of just the MK realms, it pulls the DC Universe in with it. Shao Kahn and Darkseid team up and begin working on a plan to take over the newly merged realms. The heroes of DC and MK begin fighting because they don't know what's going on, and eventually they join forces to fight the villans from MK and DC.
