i'm wondering if there will be in any tie ins with the dark knight movie, like codes somewhere i the movie like they did with the first mk movie and mk3 game. the film was probably finished before any of that, but maybe mkvsdcu may have som nods to the movie. the possibily is there.

There will be no "tie-ins" with the Dark Knight movie, as the movie is already completed and will be released on June 18th. Secondly, by the time this game will be released, there will be no way that they're going to feature a movie that's probably already out on DVDs.

I dare say this was a response to the design asthetic of the concept arts released today. He certainly seems talking more about design and conceptual references, more than silly things like movie tickets and DVD coupons.
Obviously the game isn't licensed for the film, and we already know it's very specifically referencing the comic world, but would it be surprising at all to see some similarities between the films and game?
The movie borrows from the comics which have borrowed from the films, so even an inadvertent quality seems likely.
I'd doubt the Batcave is what we'll see built in the film(s), if that's the underlying question, but influences like this are almost inevitable. The bat signal came from the TV serials -- these things tend to blend together, especially when they're good.

I rather doubt it. Most we'll see of Dark Knight refrences is maybe an alt costume for Batman.

that's more of what i meant, as in maybe the new costume as an alt for batman or whatever.

that really wouldn't be a "tie-in" to the movie, just a feature from it. So you think there'll be "features" from the movie? If DC's smart enough to get the MK team to add some in then we'll probably see a few, like if they put Joker maybe we'll see his movie version as an alt.

Now I'm starting to think that you're just an annoyence because my response was "wrong" to the guy who made this. I answered the guy's question, so leave me be.

... Is that supposed to be some kind of joke?
You can get defensive and think I actually know who you are; or you could read what's actually been said, and if you disagree, elaborate.
I'd be very interested in an argument that says cross pollonation isn't inevitable. The thread's presumably referring to design asthetic and finer details of that sort, so it's not hard to imagine how overlap could happen.
To your credit, I'm not sure if that's evident in the Gotham cityscape. If the original post was angling at whether or not the Batcave design was a spoiler for the film's rebuild, I daresay that's unlikely, too.
If I had to compare it to anything, it reminds me a little of some of the details in the Burton films, overlapped with some more recent versions in the comics. It's got more of the open plan of the comics than the Burton brooding pod.

Do you ever stop trying to put things in your discussion that has nothing to do with what you're arguing with in with your defense? Seriously, you're entire arguement put me to sleep. I stopped reading it two sentences in. Please, if you're going to argue, don't write a full paragraph essay about YOUR thesis... because it puts people to sleep. Zzz

Yes... Referencing fact is always the worst way to discuss something... Let alone referencing the subject at all.

Icebaby responded to this part of the question that insidious_t asked;
And Mick responded to the general nods to the film, like graphics and designs. I seriously don't get how that turned into an argument. Icebaby, don't take what Mick said to be insulting; all you needed to do to defend your stance was point out that comment that I put in bold and that would've been fine instead of accusing him of attacking you.
Anyway, thread closed at the author's request.
