Problem Meditating & Practice Mode Glitch

On the PS2 version, everytime I meditate I can't wake up! Has anyone else had this issue? I'm going to call Midway on it on Monday to see what they can suggest!
Also, I spent about 1 hr on the practice mode glitch (choose Scorption 1st, then choose a top row character by holding Up + Start) and was able to see all the alternate costumes for the characters I have unlocked. However, it never chose a character I hadn't already unlocked, nor did I see Johnny Cage as one person claimed. Has anyone actually used this and seen characters, not costumes, that they didn't already have?

I don't know about the PS2 version of that, but on the Xbox version, when I select Scorpion FIRST, then highlight on top of another character that is on the top row and press UP + Start, the game pauses for like thress seconds and you can't move the cursor, then the player that was highlighted is selected and the practice mode begins and I end up with a different character for player one (The one I used to select Scorpion normally.)

I don't know about getting Johnny Cage, but you can get Alts. Just hold down start until the loading screen comes up to see the alt. Whether you've unlocked it or not the characther will be wearing their alt. I just saw Raiden's alt the other day from this, finally. For some reason I can't get his or Lui's furious
