I read a post by Subzilla, he suggested he saw Nitara in the game demo. I did not see this happen yet but I found something else out instead. Get to the screen where it has the MK logo and says push start on the lower screen. DO NOT HIT START! Watch the first demo match between the players and after the fight is where it gets interesting. The screen splits into four sections.....pay attention to the bottom right screen(the puzzle kombat demo). It goes through a couple game cycles(5 seconds worth). Pay close attention the third and fourth cycle where you see Havik and Kira as players on the right hand side of the battle. This doesn't prove anything but it might be a little proof that something is out there sicne it didn't require a hack to see it. It is possible proof within the game's own video demo.
