I know you're pissed by the situation but I think you should calm down a little. There's no need to be cursing all over the thread. Chill and just wait until the GameCube version comes out and then judge it.

Dont worry, What makes you think that any more will be in the gamecube version? Just cause Midway says it dont mean anything. The GC will prolly just end up like the PS and XB. I just wish that they would bring out the game without saying anything about secrets until they are ready to tell us what is really in the game. My 2 cents

Even with all the added characters coming to the Gamecube version, it ain't gonna change my mind. I put my GC up on ebay today cuz I haven't touched the useless thing since 2002. Not even Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes was able to change my mind. So I too feel ripped off completely, just how I felt when the GBA version of DA had all those extra characters too.

the reason for the adding of characters is because ps2 and xbox has online features...the gamecube does not...to keep interest int he game they have to add something in place of the online features...everyone knows this...

I can almost, without physical proof mind you, guarantee that there are Unlockable characters/etc in MKD for XBox & PS2. Everyone has been goin on like mad since the game came out about unlockables and no one's found any yet so everyone is just PISSED and believe they're getting screwed over.
Mortal Kombat is worth ALOT of money... they're the #1 fighting series ever for any console... they've stuck to a formula that they've used in every game. Do you really think they're going to make a huge game such as MKD and PISS the HELL out of everyone who has stayed dedicated to the series for over 10 years by not including things like SUs?

You don't change your formula for something that is a proven success. And besides, there's far too much evidence within the game to prove that there is in fact Something that can be unlocked. Sure it may not be as big as most of us would like it to be, but we gotta be patient and look harder, try everything, keep playing.
And do you honestly think they'd put them on GC only cuz it's not online? lol! That's assinine! If someone can prove to me with undisputable proof that GC has SU's or other secrets and XBox has none, I will go out and buy a GC right now and sell my XBox.

9 times out of 10 the GC version of MK Deception. will have a few more characters than its PS2 and xbox counter parts. I don't see what is the big deal is. I mean it isn't the 1st time in gaming history and MK history this has happened. I don't see the big deal myself. Midway knows that Decpetion won't nearly as well on gamecube so they have added a few new things that might make people buy it over its PS2 and Xbox counter parts. In all no big deal , no matter that the gamecube version gets as long as you feel happy with the game itself.

There tring to make it sell better and to give the GCN owners something special for the lack of online play, but mostly to make it sell better. And if GCN gets more stuff doesnt mean its boon's idea or his fault for lieing to you. Maybe he had no choice. Last i check, he didnt own midway where he could make all choices that he wants. If midways CEO said no more finshers in MK, he would have no choice but to not include them.

I'm curious where you get your figures that mk is the #1 console game of all time also do your figures include japan and other countries as well?
Now as for whether there are more secret characters or not. Here is your proof, which you will ignore but anyway, people have used devices such as gameshark to unlock ALL the characters including ones you can't normally unlock. What they found is that the only characters with the full move lists are the 24 you can unlock normally. So unless midway managed to do the impossible, literally, and include two versions a gameshark version to fool people and the real hidden version than there are no more characters. Guess it's time to sell your x-box now.

I just think that the game should be Identical on all major systems it is release.
I know there is and was phenomenal pressure on Midway to release MK: D quickly, but I just think they needed to just take their time. With the development and production of future MK games, they really need to take their time.
Takeing their time in MKD could have taken care of all the issues that bug us;
They would enable them to add more characters, as SUs or other,
The Konquest mode could have been developed into an even better game
Single player mode could have been extended ( i read somewhere here about tag-teams ),

I agree that midway needs to take their time but why would they agree. People rush out to buy mk and stick by it regardless of the flaws in it. Midway realizes they can put out a bad game and still make money why put forth the effort to do a quality fighting game?

I read somewhere ( I think in PSM) about the GC verison of mk and it said "There will be no online play but some characters will make it in." something like that so that really sucks..... I am gonna look for that PSM so I can find its exact quote..

There's too much evidence to support the fact that there are unlockable characteristics in the game whether it be characters or arenas or whatever. Once again, they aren't going to just change the way they do things for no reason. It seems the only thing these forums are good for is speculation and flaming and guesses that just go nowhere. If everyone on this site played the game and looked for clues as much as they posted garbage about what they Don't know, maybe someone would've found something by now.

One more thing. How did Boon mislead you? I find it sad that MK is becoming a game of secrets that people want rather than it traditional fighting core. If people don't have secrets that get mad it seems. Also it isn't Midway problem that you don't have broadband to play online. It common sense that Midway ( as well as many games like Viewtiful Joe was GC to PS2, star wars star fighter was to PS2 to Xbox, Spider man on PS2and GC to Xbox ( Xbox got a bonus level), and the list goes on and on in terms of a system having something that another system does not. In all I don't see why people are crying about this. You bought the game like it or dislike you should be glad that you have the game at all and experianced it.

Explain how a cheat device say action replay or codebreaker or gameshark can unlock every character on the game and on any game yet this one the characters that are outside the 24 normal playable are incomplete. Fatalitys will crash it if used on them yet you still say there is evidence they are there. Sorry but there are no other unlockable characters or arenas. The staff here held fight night and boon made it clear there were not. GC will more than likely have characters that are not on ps2 because of the online feature but they probably will be rushed. Sorry to be the one to break it to you but there is far more evidence that there are not super unlockables than there is that there are super unlockables. In fact the majority of the MK games have not had super unlockable characters or arenas.

Im sorry to tell you this but ed poon has everyright to put what ever he wants in this game as far as characters,levels,fatalities etc......... cause the man has whats called owners rights to the title of the mk corp. everything that comes out thats mk he gets big $$$$$ for it but ya he has to pay miday a certain amount for using their license for sales and each store outlet as well but back to ed poon.....if he had issues with midway he wouldnt have any problem getting acclaim,thq,or even sony themselfs to help license the million dollar selling game..... as far as the game goes i have to agree with alot of guys about renting mk7 before buying it cause finding out that theres nothing in it besides puzzle kombat players well that is disapointing news and if i knew this oct 4 well i would have to say that i would of waited till it went down in price

I didn't see people complaining when Mortal Kombat Gold was released on the Dreamcast and it had extra characters that the N64, PC and PSX versions of Mortal Kombat 4 didn't have.
It is normal for games to have extras when they are released on another console after the initial release ... if you REALLY want the extras that are present in the GCN version of MK:Deception then buy a Gamecube and a copy of the game.

when and where did ed boon get owner rights for mk? im not saying your wrong but he made it for midway with midway employees. why would midway sell the rights to him???? I mean if you create a game for a developer its not the person who create it's game, it the developers game, which would be midway.

ok let me explain this and ill put it this way..if you invent something and you need money to make the product you ask someone to fund it and give them a certain amount back "depending on the contract"...but ed poon and john created mk the series and are entitled to all rights of where and how the game is made but midway has the rights to a percent of the profit of which poon has to pay!!!!!!!!!! now if ed sold mk to midway and then and only then would midway call all the shots for mk the title just like when john left the whole title of mortal kombat he was bought out by ed and then ed came soul owner of the series....but midway has rights to the game through ed himself and ed is a employee of midway thats how it all works in the end
