None of the stories are cannon yet so no he doesn't have to return!

Perhaps he will return. I mean, the chances of it happening are extremely high. Quan Chi plays a major role in MK, and hes one of the most bad ass villians ever. He has decieved many people, and is very tricky, as well as smart. Like you said, with Scorpion, Baraka, and Mileena being in MKD, Quan Chi has to somehow be part of this.

Dont forget that the Oni's Moloch and Drahmin are still in hot pursuit for Quan Chi. Baraka is there to protect Quan Chi from the Oni's and scorpion, and Mileena is in to annihilate baraka from given orders.

Quan is an awesome character, one of the bests, and i sincerely hope he returns.

He was seen fighting Scorpion in the first clip released, doesn't that warrant that he is gaurunteed to return? Why else would they have him there?

yeah but that is DA Scorp & Chi if you look at scorp he is different plus the background is also DA they have just used this for battle chess

Quan Chi is by far one of the most original villains to ever appear in a game. He should be in MKD. Boon and Co. would be making a huge mistake if he wasn't playing a keyrole in the story.

I also hope he will return, but i must say that his original mkda custume wasn't my favorite. If he should return i hope we'll see his mk4 costume with a few improvements.

I really really hope Quan Chi comes back. He is one of my favorite characters ever in Mortal Kombat. He is such a badass villan and he is one of the most important parts of the story right now and we need Quan Chi.

I'm pretty sure Quan Chi will be back even if he isn't playable from the start he will be unlockable or hidden or something. And we've seen Chess Kombat pictures of Quan Chi but everybody here seems to disregard that so who the hell am I to tell them otherwise? hehe

PS: I know the graphics on the board were from MK:DA at the time but if he was there as a board piece, he IS THERE AS A CHARACTER.

No, I don't think that Quan has to come back. He has pretty much played out his role in MK:DA, let the bastard die and never come back. Lets all make way for chatacters like Sonya and Raiden. Those two have a higher right of being in MK:D then the loser Quan.

Quan does not need to come back at all, he was in, MKM, MK4, MKG, and then MKDA. He needs to sit this one out.

A storyline or mention of him in MKD is enough.

I hope that he will come back, he is a major character with a fresh story line. He is definitely one of my favorites.

Well the Midway officials said that 6 Characters will be making a return from DA. Only 5 have been confirmed (Subzero, Scorpion, Kenshi, Bo Rai, and Limei). Only one more to go. My guess would either be between Raiden, Quan Chi, Kunglao, and Mavado.

I thought there was another group now? Wasn't it 6 classic, 6 DA, 6 regular, and 6 new? If so, then that would make Raiden, Sub Zero, and Scorpion and maybe even Reptile if he is in along with Raiden, go to the regular section.

He wasn't playable in MKM so that doesn't count. MK4 and MKG are the same game and he was in MKDA. That's 2 games, compared to other MK fighters who have been in practically EVERY game.

That's ludicrous. Raiden and Sonya do NOT contribute to the MK storyline as much as Quan Chi. Quan Chi easily became one of the most popular and well-liked MK characters. No point in getting rid of him now. In another game or two, he will reach Scoprion-level of popularity.

Couldnt of said it better myself. Quan Chi is deep in the MK story, and getting rid of him would be ridiculous. IMO hes a must have. He'll most likely make it into MKD. Afterall, hes one of the best MK villians ever.

Sonya and Raiden are 2 major good guys... but MKD need some major BAD guys to balance the whole thing... since characters like sub-zero and liu kang are coming back and the fact that Ashrah looks a lot like Raiden, Raiden is not really a must for this game.

But since the Dragon King is not playable, MKD needs a MAJOR BAD guy who is playable. And Quan Chi fit perfectly for this role.

I hope he sits out. Quan is a good character and I don't want to see him get ruined by the writters running out of good ideas and then him becoming like Liu Kang= OLD!! And to say the least, it looks that way and it disappoints the hell outta me!
