Hey so one of my friends is considering buying a PS3 80gb version (the older 80gb with 4 USB ports) But hes not sure about the backwards compatability because some ppl say one thing and wikipedia says another and so on.
The thing is I just need a straight answer from you guys who probobly have tested this.
Is the american version of the 80gb PS3 with 4 USB ports backwards compatible with these PS2 games:
Mortal Kombat DA
Mortal Kombat D
Mortal Kombat SM
Mortal Kombat A
I need an answer for all the games, and I am well aware that the 60gb works with them all because I have that one. But I need to know about the 80gb one with software emualtion. and I cannot use wikipedia or other referances because they keep contradicting each other. I need someone who has acturlly tested for sure. and it needs to be on latest firmware update.
Deadly Alliance is backwards compatible with no problems
There are no problems with Armageddon either
There is a severe corruption with the graphics on Shaolin Monks
And an update is required to play Deception
I acquired this information from the official Playstation U.S website.
