question about the mkd preview video

has anyone noticed on the mortal kombat deception preview video, they show quan chi fighting with someone. ( Not in the opening cinematic video, I said the mortal kombat deception PREVIEW video.) What do you guys think

I noticed it also. I think it was Scorpion fighting him in his fortress stage. Prob. just a programing test that they made for the preview and changed later. It seems that they played around with a lot of ideas that made it into photos and the preview, but never ended up in the game.
