I know that Scorpions family was murdered, but why is Scorpion dead?
In Mk1 Sub-Zero was evil, but know he fights at the side of the good guys, why?
In which time plays MK: Mythologies, ist it before MK1?

MK1 (classic) sub zero murdered scorpion, and the other sub zero is his younger brother, who is not evil.
And yeah, mk mythologies is before MK1

subzero was assigned a contract to kill shang tsung. despite this he was still evil and mkmythologies takes place before the first mortal kombat.

Actually Sub Zero technically murdered Scorpion in MK Mythologies, and the undead Scorpion murdered the original Sub in MK1. MK1 Sub, as said before, was evil but hired to kill Shang Tsung but his younger bro is evil.
There is one thing i don't get tho...after MK2 Scorpion vowed to protect Sub to atone for killing his bro...but why? Sub1 DID kill Scorpion, and WAS evil, so his death was justified. So why does Scorp need to atone for anything?

cause till mk4 scorpion stiil thought the lin kue was responisable for the murder of his family so he was seeking revenge for that too and then he found out in mk4 that quan chi did that so now hes after him instead and has settled with sub zero

Yea I guess Scorpion's MK2 ending was just a what if and he only vowed not to kill Sub after MK4

he just changed his mind because he was told that that sub killed his family

in mkt, he went against kahn because he learned that sub-zero was fighting for the good(seems that his mk2 ending happened)

in mk4, he was told that the younger sub-zero killed his family, he was told this by quan chi(the real killer)
