From what i understand, Kang was doing kata and Lao on the sidelines was actually shang tsung and that's how he was able to kill him.

but i thought lao was still at the sidelines when tsung and chi wer attacking liu

I not sure if we was, but i remember somewhere that Lao felt that he was at fault for Kang's death. I think it was in the Konquest mode.

right now on the fmv kung lao is at the sidelines but it is shang in disguise watching him practice after he walks up and morphs (the ability of his theyleft out) back into himself and fights him but to be honest i do not know where quan chi comes from.

Shang Tsung has the power to morph into anybody he likes. So it was really Shang Tsung that was watching from the sidelines... but was morphed into Kung Lao. So, when you see Kung Lao walking forward... he turns back into his normal self.

Tsung can morph in every MK game, except for MKDA tho... so maybe thats why everyone is like "what the hell is going on??!?!". they just took it out cuz of slow down and memory.

yeah i wached the video again this morning and it is tsung and i knew he could morph its just i didnt see him do it at first

that is not actually kung lao, that is a morph of shang tsung!!!! if u look in the background when it goes round liu kahns face, it shows him turnin into shang...
