i think ashrah is the oni hunter based off japanese mythological character - Shoki (god of the afterlife and the exorcist of demons). this theory has lead me to believe that the oni's are a force in the next few installments of MK. wether or not they are fighting for the DK remains to be seen. so in the apparent absence of drahmin and moloch i am thinking skab is definately an oni. so i think you are right saying that she was sent to kill him.

Hmm. I hadn't considered skab to be an Oni. This is a possibility. Yes, Ashrah has got to have some reason for being in the game, so if story doesn't involve Skab, then maybe Sareena is in the game after all?

I dont know why, but ever since i heard of ashrah being a demon hunter, i always had the feeling that she would be going after sareena.

Ya know I had fogot about that. But that thing heals right? Quan used to replenish himself after hard battles. Would he have emerged looking normal? Unless it just Fused them together and didn't really heal anyting.

and i dont think skab is his final name, just something to give him til they think of something better closer to release. (like blind gi became kenshi)

Thanks . As I understand it Scorps not a demon exactly...or am I mistaken is a spectre a form of demon? Also I'm not sure on the name. Scab??? They could do better naming this character I think.

An Oni is a demon that is made out of a spirit or person (Reptile was sent to the Netherealm, but he didn't die, Shinnok and Quan-Chi never died, but they're their. Get my drift?) who is suffering in the Netherealm.

My guess....Scorpion managed to fend off the Oni with his exceptional skill and new ones gained through death, and that's why he still looks human. Merely because he's managed to survive the torment from the Oni. Plus the more time he spends there, the more his power grows, so yeah...

I think Skab is probably a member of the DK's army. You have good evidence to support I after all. The faces of the army were like Skabs in MKDA. And didn't Skabs eyes glow green? That could be because of the green soul that was placed within his body. The real question to ask is, who is Skab really? Whose soul has been placed within him?

Wow,if he turns out to be a memeber of the DK army, that could be something to think about. Especially if Li Mei is replaced by Sareena.
