No, I'm not crazy. While she had a pretty poor first impression, she really shined in MK:D. Her look improved (both outfits in MK:D were fantastic; I prefer her default), her skills improved, and her story really, really improved. Very few characters are as ambiguous on allegiances as she is. Is she good? Is she bad? Is it her fault? Is it Onaga's influence? Will she truly betray them?
She just strikes me as a very interesting tragic heroine. She goes from being a slave to having her soul sucked out and placed in a corpse to being tainted and possibly fully corrupting her. An interesting tale of loss of innocence. Maybe I'm just a sucker for damsels in distress who can kick my ass, but she's my second favorite female character next to Kitana.
She, more than most other characters, just seems like she has potential, in design, story, and move set. And her dual loyalties/split personality is certainly novel.
After all, who is the real Li Mei, now? The girl we knew before, or the demon soldier lying dormant in her soul? I can't wait to see how things end up with her.

I do like Li Mei, in the fact that she's kind of like Kai. A warrior in training. Her survival is pretty much going to hinge on her choice of who she's going to side with. I do feel that MKDA she was a bit poor and underdeveloped.

Sucky story imo. She isn't a character that would get me excited at all to see her in a future game. Like with MKD we find out right away Baraka and Mileena were returning and that got me excited more so for Baraka. Say with MK9 they have Li Mei returning that wouldn't excite me at all really I don't imagine. So yeah bad story, doesn't interest me, but why a 3/10 instead of a 1/10? Well her alt in MKDA is kinda hot..... Oh and she ain't that bad gameplay wise in either MKDA or MKD. They seem to be going no where with her story though.... Kinda makes me wonder what kind of lame ending she will have in MKA......

Very good character to control, i jus hope her deception ending is canon as it wud be like sindel when she was being controlled

Far above all standard females even if she is a blatant ripoff of wire-fu femmes. Even in name. 6/5. Consider Kitana Obsolete!
