You guys do not understand how great of a Character Kai really is. He is my 3rd favorite character and i believe he has more potential than any other character in MKA. Reasons Being.
He is a new type of warrior that follows his own path which is a cool thing to find in a mortal kombat character.
He is a member of the White Lotus which is also never a bad thing because it shows he is on a good path too.
He has no specific mortal enemies as of right now which is really cool too.
The only reason why you guys are hating on Kai is because he is a character that wasn't explained very well in mk4 but i am completly sure that the MK team could revamp his story to become one of the best around. I do not understand why people think he is lame or an unneeded character in the Mortal Kombat Franchise.

I really have to wait until MKA to give Kai a real rating but in MK4 he was kool playwise and story wise was sub par he really didn't get involved wiht anyone. 7/10 agian i m in a good mood.

Kai:
I see a lot of potential in Kai. I can see him becoming a big player in next-gen MK games replacing Liu Kang or Kung Lao. He's only been in one game, but I think there is a lot that could be done to develop his character. It'd be a shame to get rid of him so soon.
One thing I'd love to see is a rivalry between Kai and Kintaro. Think about it. A Shaolin Monk with tiger stripes versus an angry Shokan with tiger stripes? They're the perfect enemies.
I just don't like the whole "big black guy" look they gave him in MKA. I liked it better when he was a skinny, flexible kind of guy. But whatever. He still looks cool.
Overall, I'd give Kai a 8.5/10. I would have simply given him a 7, but Kai is probably the most under-rated character in the entire series so I decided to give him some extra support (I don't know anyone who hates Kai...just no one mentions him...ever).
(P.S. His fighting styles in MKA need to be "Shaolin Tiger" and/or "Capoeira" or else!)

A character, i don't at all care for, in fact i had forgotten him until MK:A was announced.

Kai has much potential hed be more original if he was the only warrior with fire or some other elemnt. His moves are great but i like his mk4 look better mainly because his beard in MKA looks wack it should be different.

Why have they made look more "street" for MKA, he looks like an NFL player now!

Kai ... Kai ... Where do i begin?
Kai wasnt that great of a character in MK4, i just didn't really like him. Storywise he wasn't great, and playwise he wasnt great
But his MKA look does look good, well have to wait to see.
