Maybe the Dragon King is the great Deception of the Elder Gods, they used Shujinko to bring him back and fuck everyone up, especially Raiden.

The elder gods never told raiden not to do anything. They only said that they wouldn't do anything when the deadly alliance formed.

I'm refering to the recent DivX vid...

I think there will be a time where he is either stripped of his god-status and remains mortal, or he becomes the sole elder god (at the end of the MK games.) I think it is more likely that he will lose his godly powers, and fight alongside the mortals as a mortal (with no relinquishing his status stuff). He defied the Elders in MKDA by relinqushing his status, and once again by challenging Shang and Quan. I doubt they are gonna be leinient for much longer.
Plus he seems to have contempt for the somewhat idle elder gods, they never want to help him...

It kinda sets the stage for Mk7.. its probably gonna be Rayden/Raiden and the earth warriors vs. the Elder Gods and thier acomplices. ( like the tekunin or something. )

Raiden BETTER become mortal permanently at some point, otherwise what good will the elder gods be?

Elder gods - "And you know by doing this we renounc.....Fuck it, do whatever you want, you'll just be a powerful thunder god in the next game, and your powers won't be compromised in any way, due to you not being a thunder god, so who gives a flying fuck"

Raiden - "......."

Maybe this could be the opening intro for MK7?
