One of the most interesting concepts I found in the new Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe is that, in essence, the "alternate reality" time-line opens up news possibilities for developing new MK stories.

It would seem that in MK vs DC Universe we are going back and revisiting the events taking place just after MK3. But with the alternate time-line, plus infusing the new events that take place during MK vs DC, does this not open up the possibilities of a new, reworked version of Mortal Kombat 4?

I'm fairly certain this would never happen, but I just love the idea of revisiting the earlier Mortal Kombat games in a new way (as the recent ones have been a SERIOUS disappointment in the story line department).
