Regarding Sektor's storyline in MK:TE

Well for those of you who already know Sektor's storyline in MKTE, this will be like a character chat.

As we know, Sektor was once a member of the Lin Kuei who agreed to become a cyborg and he was one of the 3 cyborgs to find and destroy Sub-Zero.

Now it seems that Sektor has become a Ninja cyborg and he's going to start his clan of cyborg Ninjas known as the Tekunin.

What do you think will be the future of Sektor's storyline in future MK games? And do you think he'll be in MK6 and beyond?

Personally I think that MK6 has to be serious. A dark atmosphere, dark arenas and colors.

So, I hope that any cyber ninja return in MK6. They make MK a little cartoon.

i mean the lin kui is back in order and we didn't get a nunch of ninjas

i just hope sektor appears in MK6

the dude i badass and really hates sub-zero

I hope Sektor is in MK6 replacing Cyrax as the robot ninja character.
Even though I dont quite agree with cyber ninjas in MK, Sektor is defenetly badass and has cooler moves then Cyrax, and right now, a real reason to be in MK6. Cyrax being in the special forces is just plain wrong.

Well my favorite is Cyrax and I really think it's cool to have him in the Special Forces. But talking about Sektor I thought his story was pointless and silly, but reading Sub7th's post I think he and his clan has a solid potential in the MK plot... Maybe a clan fight between the lin kuei and Sektor's clan... Think about it... it could be interesting and even Smoke could return, confused in the middle of the clans since he is an ex lin kuei but he's still a cyborg...

Because I was expecting, as a lot of ppl, that his ending would be related with Sub-Zero in some way. Maybe a final fight for the control of the Lin Kuei or something like that. But now I think it's a nice story/ending because it adds much more to MK's plot as I said.

Sektor has a very nice storyline. Im impressed how midway can take a character that was not a real favorite in MK3 and turn him into a totally successful character in the MK universe. Now if only they can appease the fans with Stryker and Nightwolf whom I think already has potential but had to take the cut because ppl thought they were "gay", like they know what they are talking about.

it wouldn't make much sense for sub-zero to have a final fight in sektor's ending

people would have gotten mad because that was their bio

think how pissed people are with sareena's bio..its just like her ending

at least Sektor did something

seems like Sareena served no purpose..which is sad because she was a real character and not hidden

Yeah I know what you mean about Sareena but perhaps she'll be in MK6 and that she'll have her "real ending" there.

I'm not sure what you mean by the cartoon thing but I do agree with you when you say that MK6 should have a dark atmosphere. However, Mortal Kombat also has a mystical and mythological atmosphere so that should also be put into MK6 and future MK games like how it was in earlier MK games.

I think he tried to say that MK6 shouldn't be cartoonish like MK:DA. You know, many ppl complain about this. And some sites like Gamespot I think... Said the same...

Well I was kind of dissapointed by the fact that Sareena's ending was actually the very same text available in Midway's site.. But as you said, they left it opened to make us impatiently wait for MK6 story... Sareena is a great character in this game, and is a very interesting addition to the MK plot, let's see what she's got to tellk in the future... Will she attack and try to kill Sub-Zero?? Is she in Quan Chi's side?? Hmmm intersting!!!

Ah I see. Well there were some "cartoonish" elements in some of the character modeled graphics but that probably has to do with the graphic sacrifices and the fact that Midway didn't have a lot of time to make MKDA.

As for Sareena, I don't think that she is working for Quan Chi.

That might happen but...there are certain things that you have to keep in mind. Sektor and Frost both wanted to be grandmaster of the Lin Kuei so they might have conflicts with each other. However, Sektor is now the grandmaster of the Tekunin but maybe he'll just expand the Tekunin by trying to take over the Lin Kuei clan. Or...Sektor could be grandmaster of the Tekunin and rule Japan while Frost could be grandmaster of the Lin Kuei and rule China (try to that is).

Frost tried to take over the Lin Kuei, she failed... So she might give it a try with Sektor's clan which name I can memoriza.. tekunin? Anyways, that would mean that.. She has to become a cyborg now, so we might see a FEMALE CYBORG in MK6!!!!!!! lol

Yeah, I thought about that idea. Perhaps that can happen in her MK6 ending or something. But anyway back to Sektor. With his Ninja Cyborg clan the Tekunin, there will probably be another member of that clan in MK6.

here's a nice little question


should Sektor be sub-zero's arch enemy? or Cyrax?

the guy has beef with both of them...the idea of cyborg vs cyborg does sound interesting..give sub-zero frost as his enemy


like make Sektor's new mission to capture/kill Cyrax..if captured reprogram him and make him evil..if killed..then rejoice because ur enemy has fallen

then again he has more beef with sub-zero...i wonder if Smoke will play any part in this..he is the 3rd cyborg that gets treated like the red-headed step child...Cyrax totally stole his thunder when he became hero

its like when Spike got a soul and stole Angel's storyline

Angel went through hell to be viewed as a hero, as did Smoke

Spike went to some guy and got an easy fix...as did Cyrax

Angel wasn't too nice before he became a vampire, and he didn't go searching for a soul, he was cursed with it.

Spike was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he became a vamp, and went actively looking for a soul. IMO that makes Spike the better hero :)

Ah yes, very interesting. The thing is is that I had thought about this as well. IMO, I think it can go either way. Sektor and Cyrax can have one big battle against each other to the death or Cyrax can become a new member of the Tekunin if he were to be reprogrammed by Sektor.

Yeah I know what you two mean. Sektor does need to be this ruthless killing machine. To be honest, I'm not sure how much more of potential Cyrax has for a future in MK. I did like him and he was cool but I don't see much of a future for him unless he is re-programmed by Sektor and joins the Tekunin or something like that. But if that doesn't happen, then perhaps Sektor should destroy Cyrax.

u gotta think about how sektor's mind works

he is a machine

so his first mission after making a "army" of people like him would be to destory all that pose a threat to him

sub-zero, smoke????, cyrax, and maybe even frost and the rest of the lin kui

i always wanted classic sub to return..i wonder what his opinion on the whole robot thing would be...would he join the cyborg clan or challenge his brother?

maybe Sektor and classic sub can work together for a little bit...then on betrays the other....they are really fleshing out the lin kui storyline

the major players will be as follows:

Sub-Zero
Frost
Mavado
Cyrax
Sektor
Smoke?
Classic Sub???

all of those characters need inter locking storylines

Hmmmm well I think that Classic Sub-Zero would have been more a neutral but I do see him possibly helping out his brother.
