Like him or not, I think realistically Reiko's chances of returning (other than a brief cameo) are nil. Most of the MK team, including Boon don't really like him, and I heard Boon said in an interview to forget about him.

Not to mention the whole Reiko/Shao Kahn bullshit, that's caused so many arguments. I wouldn't be surprised if his Konquest appearance is a quick "Reiko was killed by so and so..." and that be the end of it.
