Reptile in MK:D?

Reptiles ending in MK:D makes it sound like reptile's body is going to be used by the Dragon King. Im just wondering what the hell really happened to him. Is reptile the Dragon King? If not then whats his status. I hope the game developers reveal what happened to him in the game. Maybe they will add an explanation when u meet reptile in konquest mode.

I am waiting for the game to be released for that question to be answered. I hope nothing fatal has happened to Reptile.
