Question is....how do you know for sure that Reptile changed only into the Dragon King's minion, and not the Dragon King himself? However, if Reptile really did change into the Dragon King's minion, I would think that he would be the sub-boss. I think that if he is the sub-boss, you should still be able to play as him because I thought that was total crap that I couldn't play as Moloch in Deadly Alliance even though he was the sub-boss.

Same thing I'm thinking also. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

also hotoru could be the mid boss, since he is DKs general.

i think the mid boss wont be big in this game or unbalanced. i think DK will be the "midboss of the other games" meaning i think this will be the first game where the final boss is gonna be harder then the mid boss. it could be hotoru reptile since he is with his race he might start devolving into is human type DK armor form like said in his bio. he isnt the last of his race nomore so he might devolve or Evolve into somthing worst, reptile could be a giant dragon creature thats huge!!! and DK could be an armor looking more human like guy, like the armor DK army guys, looking more like shao khan. the DK could make khan into a weak human form making him playable and balanced in MK7 maybe.

Maybe Reptile will try and take the real Dragon King's spot if he is just a minion. I don't know. Just a thought.

Dammit, don't make thread titles that make it sound like the thread contains a fact, when you're only speculating. I'm pretty sure Reptile won't be a regular playable character, since supposedly they've all been revealed, so if he's not the DK, he probably is the sub-boss.

And by the way, why do people keep saying "mid-boss"? There are only two bosses in each game (except in MKDA, where Shang and Quan are co-bosses), and a "mid-boss" would have to come between a first and a last boss, not BE the first boss.

I hope the bosses in MKD arent playable.IMO it makes the bosses look like regular charcters.Although they could let you unlock him after you complete a big task like finishing EVERYTHING in the game.Including beating the game on MAX.You know what would be cool?Before you reach the Dragon King you should fight some of the people in his Army.Then after you fight all of the small but powerful soldiers there should be a sub boss kind of like Goro but more mysterious and more powerful then Kintaro.

I agree with you abou the bosses not being playable. Its an MK tradition. But if they do make it possible, I hope that they will be watered down versions that are equal to the rest of the fighters. Having a huge power advantage takes away from the fun and the challenge.

Watered down versions would be cool the game will be more balanced.Just look at Shin Akuma or Ultimate Rugal in Capcom Vs SNK 2 there not as powerful when a human plays as them.But they shouldn't make The Dragon King as weak as Shin Akuma is when a player plays as him.All it takes is one hit and S.Akuma's energy is almost gone.

Maybe reptile will transform then become the DK's servent.
