Opinions are like a$$holes, everybody's got one, and they all stink. Warrior, you may hate Li Mei, but I like her. She returns for me and everyone who thinks she was one of the best new characters in MKDA. Read the posts in the forum and you'll see that she DOES have many fans.
You think Shinnok is a great character... well, I think he's the worst fighter in the entire series. Also I hate Kabal and Ermac, but you won't see me bashing them, because I know they are gonna make lots of fans happy. Besides, you never know... they might be very good fighters in MKD.
Respect the others and remember that the game is being made for millions of fans, not just you.

I didn't want you to prove anything. All I said was that I know you don't have inside sources within Midway. Gamesites, magazines... ok, possibly. But your sources, if any, are not members from the MK team. I'm 100% sure about that, and I can prove it when the right time comes.

li mei looked like too much of a tekken fighter for me to like her. she was a mary sue version of mileena. i thought for sure when i beat the game with her that she was gonna morph into mileena and welcome kahn and the gang onto the scene. and dex, did u play mk:m? i think u might like shinnok just maybe a tad bit more if u did. but i think if he returned with much better moves, it would be a much greater game then if limeena (as i like to call her) did. and konqrr, dude i still dont believe u. thats my opinion, and for u to tell a fellow forum member and mk fan to "shaddup" makes me doubt your status even more. it makes u sound more and more like the 13 yr old bullshitter someone said u could be earlier.

Wow, this thread is getting uglier by the second. C'mon people. Either believe Konqrr or don't, he doesn't care, and neither should we. If he's right, he's right, and you could all perhaps trust him a little more in the future. If he's wrong, he's wrong, and we can all see him for the liar that he is. Either way, no one knows if he has the inside track or not but him, so let's stop dwelling on that and get back to the idea of Li Mei (Limeena...lol good one man!) possibly being in this game. But first, two things:

1) The OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE (not PSM, not Playstation Magazine, but OPM) is where the new pictures of Sindel and, supposedly, Li Mei are located.
2) It's the new issue of OPM. People that have subscriptions got theirs already, and I don't think stores have them as of right now. It has the game "Killzone" on the cover. The grey guy with the red eyes from Killzone is on it, with talk of the game being PS2's Halo killer.

Now. As far as Li Mei goes, I think that she's a lot like Shinnok. For me at least. Both had good, deep backstories. Shinnok is a fallen elder god who wants to rule everything, he also has a servant in Quan Chi who has betrayed him. He's from the Netherealm, which he tried to make more like Earth. Good stuff. Li Mei's people were enslaved and forced to build Shang Tsung's palace. Again, lot of potential there as far as being a slave, and the allies that she could forge/those that might try to save her, or those that might fall in love with her etc. Lot of potential. It's too bad that both characters played like crap, were boring, and completely derivative of former characters. Shinnok morphed like Shang Tsung and that's IT. Li Mei wore purple, had a plain, uninspired look, used Mileenas weapon, had a similar name, had a punching version of Liu Kangs bicycle kick, and a kick that looked a lot like Tanyas. Snooorrrre.

That said, if they changed the looks of these two characters (Shinnok looked like an evil bellhop) and gave them some unique moves, I could definitely see their stories having a place within MK. That's just my opinion though.

I am so sick of hearing about this Li Mei thing. Seriously this is getting just a bit ridiculous to those who believe it good for you, I for one do believe it. For those of you who don't well good for you too keep hoping if you want to it's your opinion and there is nothing wrong with that. We'll see when it comes out who's right and who's wrong. WTF? What do you mean "...thats IT." Morphing is Shang Tsung's signature move!Personally,I hated Shinnok.I would love to see Shang Tsung beat the shit out of Shinnok.As for Li Mei,I really have no problem with her.She's pretty cool in my opinion.Her moves were great.But I really want Frost to come back.If that means Li Mei has to go then,LI MEI HAS TO GO.Also,Li Mei hasn't been confirmed,but in the PSM pictures it really looks like her.The bottom line is...Shinnok sucks and Li Mei is alright.But thats just my opinion

I was criticizing Shinnok's move set. I meant to say that all he could do was morph like Shang Tsung, and that he had no original moves of his own. I also should've said (though I thought it was implied somehow when in my post) that the Shinnok character completely ripped off Shang Tsung in the moves catagory. So yeah, I thought that was shitty too. I just meant that I liked his story. A fallen elder god, banished to the netherealm, where he tries to recreate Earth. Didn't Lucifer try to recreate Heaven when he was banished to hell? I think that might be in Dante's Inferno or in Paradise Lost. Not sure. Anyways, I just thought it was a cool story, so his character, while having a stupid look (gah! evil bellhop! run!) and horribly unoriginal moves (Shang Tsungs morphing and that's IT means that's ALL the moves he had...other peoples, which combine for something a character, Shang Tsung, has already had).

I think both characters have potential. Personally, I'd rather see Shinnok back before Li Mei though. E3 can't come soon enough!!!
