I agree, Scorpion is THE FRANCHISE!! Although this whole dieing and resurrecting thing is getting old hopefully he won't get killed in this game.

My like for Scorpion is actually a recent development. Not that I hated him before, but by the time MK4 came around, I was dead sick of him. Although I liked his storyline with the Oni's, all of MKDA's occurences with him left me kinda turned off by the beyond-dead vengeance storyline.

But his new design is pretty nice on the eyes(not as dull as the MKDA version). From what I can tell, his story has been revamped along with his looks. I have a feeling he won't be nuetral anymore.

I was always satisfied with Scorpion's playability so I'm not too worried in that department.

However, Scorpion's story has been lacking recently. They need to return him to how he was in the earlier MK games, where although he was an angry nuetral loner he still retained a sense of honor and nobility. Lately, he's been a mindless revenge-crazed drone.
And hopefully, it'll turn out his ending in MK:DA didn't happen and Quan Chi chucking him into the acid will be the first and last time Scorpion has died in the games. Just because Scorpion can now apparently escape the Netherealm whenever he wants, doesn't mean they should turn him in to Jason Voorhees.

MKDA was Scorpion's first time as the top character (In other games he was always somewhere in the middle gameplay wise). If that repeats itself, he might live up to his ridiculous hype.

I agree in deadly alliance scorpion was very fast and had great moves.I just hope he gets back his ninja flip.

Well im not a very big scorpion fan since hes the same in every game....but I wont screw up your thread. In DA, I thought he was a very good and cheap character to play as. And with him getting the teleport back in Deception, I just might get around to liking him again.......

I thought Scorpion was a great character. I enjoy the classic characters from the original Mortal Kombat more than the characters that were introduced in the the games after.

I too think that Scorpion should join a side rather than be neutral to the battle that wages on. Scorpion might relize that he cannot get his revenge on his own and that he may need help. Sub-Zero might step in to help Scorpion in exchange for his service for the Lin Kuei.

well scorpion was good and subzero were the best EVER.

but for some reason all the shitty fighters that i NEVER played as in the older MK games were actually the best in this one.

Kung lao(who sucked so much ass), Quan Chi(who is now on my top list with scorpion and kabal and subzero)

and then the good players subzero, cyrax, and scorpion i really didnt use much in MKDA for some reason they sucked to me.

but i heard of scorpions teleport punch and maybe getting his leg sissors back. the only reason why scorpion was the shit in MKDA was because nobody used subzero cause he kinda sucked ass in that game. scorp has his teleport back but sub has his ice clone back, so prepare for sub to be the main man again, but i aint hating scorp is a good guy my friend.

Liu Kang is Mortal Kombat. I'd hate to break it to you guys, but Scorpion isn't the main character; Liu Kang is. If Liu Kang had stayed dead, Sub-Zero probably would've taken over as Main character. Scorpion's a classic, but there are better MK characters.

Scorpion is the best character. Now that he has his teleport punch back he will be more deadly than before. I am glad that they took out Pi Gua and replaced it with Moi Fah, because Pi Gua did not have a great combos to it, and I am hoping that Moi Fah has better combos to it then Pi Gua.

Also I am hoping that his Sword is on fire due to the loading picture that was on one of the screenshots I saw from E3.

In MK4, Scorpion was yes, you guessed it a mid-tier character; His spear was laughable, and extremely blockable. Ray Charles could see his spear coming from a mile away, and he's blind and dead.

In MK5, Scorpion actually became a character worth playing; FOR ONCE.

You can give me all your shallow reasoning over how cool he looks blah blah blah..but the statistically proven fact is, that Scorpion has been a lower-mid tier or mid-tier character in every MK but the last one. Would you want someone who had a cool look but sucked at what he did to run your country? How about to cut your hair, or shit, even make your pizza? I wouldn't.

You all constantly diss characters like Liu Kang and Tanya who are statistically better characters. Tanya in MK4 will whip any Scorpion players ass. Tanya is mad powerful, she is a good fighter; considering that MK is a FIGHTING game and not an aesthetics convention, that would make her the better character.

Same with Liu Kang; In MK2 he was the second best character; in MK3, he was about even with Scorpion; in MK4 Liu Kang killed Scorpion with his speed. Thus once again, Liu Kang is actually a good fighter.

Scorpion has only been good to play as in one game. And let's examine his plot/ look since you all always say "Liu Kang never changes":

MK1: Scorpion is looking for revenge; wears yellow and black.

MK2: Scorpion continues his search for revenge; wears yellow and black.

UMK3: Has a stupid filler story because fans just want him back; wears yellow and black.

MK4: Finally some plot developement, with the whole Quan Chi thing; wears exact same outfit as UMK3.

Scorpion is stale...but I play him in MKDA because he is a great character to play as. Honestly, I'm sad they won't make him sit a few games out. He's not an important character to the plot at all, and he never changes his moves.

I've been playing Mortal Kombat for many years. does that mean I am an Expert. But any how everyone on my block plays Mortal Kombat, and we all meet at one house to play. Now everytime I play as Scorpion I kick ass. the only time I lose is when I get tired and I lose focus. But we will see in MK Online, because I am going to be Scorpion and I am going to kick the Freeze off of Sub-Zero and anyone else who tries.

Well, In MKDA Scorpion IS top tier. If your friends can't beat you when you're scorpion in MK2,UMK3,T, or 4 it's either:

A. Because they suck
B. Because they're picking shitty characters.
C. Because they're also playing as Scorpion.

With Scorpion's teleport punch and his spear. That is what links up his deadly combos. And I am not going to give my fighting secrets but you have to know when to use them. You have to use them defensively.

To add in MK4 the combos was the same for every character so you can not really judge what character was the best in that game.
