try comparing ryu to ken, they have more comparisons together than ryu and scorpion.

im sorry if i didnt make myself clear but i didn't mean to sound as if i was starting a whole ryu vs scorp thing. i think devil and death got the gist of what i was trying to say. i mean scorp in terms of a videogame character as ryu is to street fighter. the all rounder.

scorpio do you play street fighter? ryu is top tier in majority of games he is in. he is one of the most consistant street fighter characters in the game.

no, as a matter of fact i dont. i stopped playing sf after mk came out. mk is better. which is why i said what i said in my first reply.

The Ryu/Ken Rivalry and heroism of Streetfighter are mimicked in MK by Scorpion and Sub-Zero IMO.

I thought liu kang was a sort of "ryu", forgive me if im wrong.

You are right it's not Scorpion who is like Ryu it is Liu Kang. I have been a Scorpion fan since MK:1 first came out and I know he is alot cooler than Liu Kang but everyone knows that Liu is Stronger that's why it's better comparing Liu with Ryu.

like, most people who replied to this topik have no idea what the hell it is about. And that pisses me off.
1. It's not about who is stronger- Ryu or Scorpion.
2. It's not about their storyline.
3. It's not about their looks.

It's about the god damn 'gameplay' of each character. And it is true, Scorpion is the Ryu of Mortal Kombat, because he's the one u can choose as a beginner, kick ass, and even after being a very experience player, u always feel good about playing as Scorpion. His combos are easy to do, and powerful. LIKE RYU.

in other words ryu is the scorpion of street fighter

Scorpion = Jin (T4) = Xianghua (SC2) = Mileena (MK2) = the one that is easy to play AND is the most powerful...
