My opinion is that he'll have a different fatality without his mask, or they'll do a different animation.

For instance, they might have him just wave his hand in front of his face, and that could make his skull burst into flame.

You can knock his mask off yeah. But its still like a human jaw, its not completly skinned. He should just rip it all off.

Acually, I think it would be coul if Scorpions face would burst into flames anyway (with or without the mask). And after that, he'll spit the fire onto his foe.

I'm also a little afraid that it'll be toned down because of the T rating. But I'm still happy we're gonna see the Fatality in the game!

He'll pull his cowl off if his mask is gone, and the whole thing if it isn't. Please, please, please, please, PLEASE do not start complaining about things that probably won't even be an issue when the actual game is released. Wait 'til it's actually released, please.

You only knock Scorpion's mask off though. He still has the hood part. He grabs it by that part during the Fatality. Makes no difference whether the mask part got knocked off and he already has a skull head or not.

Smoke used to be friends with Sub-Zero until the clan turned on them. He was also a human at that time. Cyrax is still human (as evidenced by his alt. outfits and MK4) endings... but I think the machine has taken over Sektor and Smoke.

No... I don't remember seeing guts actually. I saw blood, bones, and flesh (which I admit, the "flesh" looked like they tore the limbs off cabbage patch dolls).
Cyborgs have flesh........ because they are cybernetic organisms. Keyword ORGANISM. So I would expect SOME BLOOD to still exist considering they were human. Not just oil. I don't think that when the Lin Kuei transformed their clansmen into Cyborgs, they got rid of EVERY BIT of human tissue. That makes no sense. They may as well have just built robots, don't you think?

If you're complaining that when they got hit during a match you saw blackish blue blood and/or oil but red blood in the fatalities, that could be easily explained with what we call a "good excuse" or "explanation" using the facts I stated above.

Besides, I really don't consider what you're complaining about to be "lazy." back then they tried everything they could to save memory in their game... that meant sacrificing all the stupid details that wouldn't really improve your damn game play experience in the first place. I admit, the gore was not as good as MKII... but like I said. MEMORY SAVER to have everyone die the same way.

I highly doubt that the animation will change.

Even in MK4, when he had his skull showing with one of his costumes, the animation didn't change.

i know that there were things in the past that they could just not fix because of lack of space and memory (and by guts i meant bones and shit i couldn't find the right word as its sometimes hard to xpress myself in another language)

but that's why i hope that this first game for the next gen consoles looks clean and badass

but there were things in the past that were kinda "unpoulished" in the games like we all know

It would look really crappy if they made him suddenly take out his makes out of thin air when he has no mask to begin with (because it could had been knocked off).

Thats a typical mistake in MK I guess, but it should not happen.

scorpion has his mask off he takes off his ninja hood to reveal his flaming skull, he blows the fire that is what i saw in the vid

Not a big deal honestly, I think for one again...EARLY build. I think some people need to stop having ulcers over trivial stuff no doubt due to early builds lol.

If you guys remember the early builds, trailers/teasers for MK:D and MKA before the game came out, lots of things changed, styles, animations, death traps etc, etc including small things like this.

I'm not concerned about it honestly, still for a quick teaser looked awesome!

If I'm Midway, I don't care about "perfect" trailer, but rather a damn good game once it's out.

Although, they could say if Scorpion's mask is busted off completely with just the hoody and skull....they could also have his head burn up like they showed to the point where it burns off his mask totally, that would be awesome and make perfect sense
