He did. In the Justice League episode A Better World. Luthor became president and killed flash, So Superman killed him with heat vision. couldn't find a link, but that's how it happened.
Well, then maybe it's about time they made an alternate reality comic where Bruce Wayne's parents duck and survive, and Bruce Wayne never becomes Batman in the first place, so Joker and the bad guys end up taking over Gotham.
They had one of THOSE too. Batman was able to go to another reality and beat up the thug in front of baby bruce before his parents died. Then he was inspired by what happened and the kid STILL became Batman
