Boon said they spent most of their time on content im guessing none of the "super unlockables" will be listed in any strat guide maybe the regeular unlockables. With all the different modes of play i bet the supers are hidden deep in the game.

I think it's obvious that the mysterios character mentioned in the first post is Liu Kang.
Wasn't it the E3 interview at Gamespot where Boon mentioned that Liu Kang would be appearing in a spiritual and zombie-like form? Ever since then nobody has mentioned Kang or posted pics / videos of him.
With the exception of Raiden, he's the only character they haven't mentioned in a long time, and also the only character not shown on the bios.

In the guide, Mystery appears alphabetically where Liu Kang would appear. And that's that.
