ok, to start things off...I'm not sure if this is taken from DA, but in the new vid at gamespot that displayes the mk history, at the end it come to mk deception. you'll see the title and on the sides two matches from deception. if you look the one on the left has kenshi and shang tsung fighting in a lvl similar looking to the top of the grinder lvl (sorry i forgot the lvls name). If this fight is taken for DA whay would they put it in the deception section? Maybe shang is in deception. Yes he died in DA, but has death ever stopped a character from appearing again in Mortal Kombat? Examples- Johnny Cage, Hsu Hao, scorpion, and many many more. All i'm asking is for a little open mindedness. I hope this make all you shang tsung fans happy. For those who want to get to it quickly its at 4 min. 18-20 sec.

shang isnt dead neither is quan chi...like the whole final battle happens at the beginning of deception..and some1 from midway already confirmed this.the deadly alliance was never finished
