I'd prefer Shang too stay human. If Shang can have his real form as an alternate outfit, or a morph, then that would be cool. As a morph you'd have extra power but would be slower.

I always thought it would be cool to see Shang fight in his true demon form. But yeah, it should be as a morph. People say it's pointless to have the morphs cause it's just copying other characters, but I say he should be able to morph into other creatures or non playable characters. That would be really cool. His fatalities should involve morphing too.

I think it would be an interesting twist. Shang is too weak to even MORPH and he is desperate for souls and allies with the DK.

Its not that Shang is too weak to morph...he morphed into Kung Lao and tricked Liu Kang didn't he? Its just that the MK team can't figure out how the get morphing to work on the new technology without writing countless lines of code and slowing down the game. I wish they would've taken advantage of the hard drives on both XB and PS2...that would've made it remotely possible.


As for the topic...it would be cool to see Shang in his demon form. Dunno where you pulled that out from...last I ever remember seeing it was in a Gamepro preview for Mortal Kombat II way back in like 1993.

Couldn't they actually limit Tsung's morphs and make him retain his stances but take over another char's special moves? Another idea I once had is that he should be able to morph into dead characters (such as, e.g. Liu Kang) and perform special moves of them on a limited basis.
