He's dead, and that, together with the fact that he is sure NOT to be in MK6, was already confirmed by the MK Dev Team.

Btw, please don't count him out (or Liu), as this is MK. Besides, Shao Kahn already died in the end of MK3, and he came back (supposedly after using Reiko's body). So, and considering that the Dragon King, sooner or later, will try to take his place as the Emperor of Outworld (his old title), Shao Kahn will probably be there to fight him off. (About Liu, he was the MK Earth Champion, they only killed him to end the "Liu Kang saves the World" routine, but they won't finish him off just like that.)

Shao Kahn is definitely dead and should stay dead. Its time to see if the Dragon King will be a great boss.

any of you realize that in the first descriptions of the krypt. they had in the koffin OK: HINT-Shao Kahn Awaits....so he isn't dead. they even said at fight night that he wouldn't go so easily. he was a great boss. they just made him suck in the movie. but he isn't dead. if nobody believes me about the krypt thing..then search for the first description of the krypt. and look at koffin OK. its empty when u open it though. it might be something they didn't want to mention, because they scratched it off all the other krypt kontent lists....so think about that one. lui kang is dead...cheap bastard...but shao kahn lives.

False I remember from fight night that someone ask that question shao kahn is not dead nor alive either,but thats a toss up as weather is alive or not. but if he is alive he maybe in hiding regrouping and recovering from hes wounds.its a toss up, but all i known from fight night is that they didnt say he was dead either.

i still like shao kahn, would have been cool if he was a regular character in this game. not a boss or anything, just a regular character. he looked cool in the movies. i never liked how he looked in the 2d games though.

Lui Kang has bit the dust,Shao Kahn's soul has been consumed by Shang Tsung, but ( and this would be a good storyline) kanh's soul takes over Tsugns body

Shang Tsung DID NOT Consume Kahn's soul. There is no way he can do that. It's the other way around. Kahn can do that to him. I don't believe Kahn has a soul of his own since he is an entity and Immortal that consumes souls.


And one other thing. Shao Kahn never died in MK3. He was driven out of Earth realm and back into Outworld, which hasx seperated from other realms that Kahn conquered. And this seperation led to the decreasing of his power, thus being vulnerable and weak. That is why he was able to fall prey to the 2 losers Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. I hated the idea that Kahn died at the hands of 2 lesser villains.


As whether he's dead or not isn't sure of. They never showed how the 2 villains knock him off. All they show is blood stains and his mask which could mean 1 of 2 things: either he's officially dead or just recuperated to lick his wounds waiting for a chance to come back

It says in Reptile's Konquest that Shao Kahn is dead. I think it also says it in Kano's Konquest.

I Beleive that with the death of shao khan it has brought forth a new evil one maybe more powerfull the Dragon king and if reptile truly does change to the dragon king that meens the shit will hit the fan big time but that would all so meen that he may be a playable charictor if they work the job correctly seeing as how reptile is a playable charictor in the past ones.

Yes those bios in Conquest mode keep saying he's dead. But never shown how he died, which usually means something. He might be back as a hidden guy (I hope anyway)

Shao Kahn's too tough to be dead. He was a real bad ass...He just talked too much.

thing is thay onlay showed kahns helmet hit the ground stained with blood but didn't show his soul getting counsumed by tsung instead they went straight to kang gettin killed and getting his soul consumed by tsung so it's possible that shoa kahn is still alive

one thing though i recon they'll put kang back in unfortnatly
