Approximately 19 characters were perceived in the cells of the prison, and I doubt that they will be all playable... It's not thus a formal proof of his presence in the game...

Look.He is just in the prison man.Nothing else.Same with the other 15-18 characters seen in the prison.Jade was there and now she is not.They decided to make her playable.It had nothing to do with the prison.If some do turn out to playable.I don't think it will have anything to do with the prison.

Personally, I believe too he's dead, but if super unlockables are non canon-characters, they can whoever, even dead people like Kahn, Goro, Sheeva...

Every character from all the games are going to appear somehwere in the game. If theyr not playable at first/unlockable/super unlockable then they will appear in the background and konquest. being in the prison doesnt mean anything. We all thought to begin with that it did and when we first saw Jade, but now that about 20 characters have been seen we know its just random as to who appears in there. i wouldnt be surprised if we saw more of the konfirmed fighters in the cells too.

I must admit I'd like tos ee Shao Khan return, but only as a normal playable charcter. not as a boss.
