posted07/02/2004 03:39 AM (UTC)byI think it would be great if in deception we see Shao Khan amassing a huge army to go against the dragon kings huge army. Sort of like a clash of the titans all out war for outworld and earthrealm. Please post your thoughts

I think that would be cool, but the dragon king is the only huge threat now.The eldergods are now looking for warriors like Shujinko too fight him.

I think that the Dk would whoop Shao Khans ass. Dk was the ruler before he was, and notice how his army is called "The undefeatable army". Plus i just think that the Dk is gonna be a whole lot cooler then Khan ever was

We never knew if Kahn was dead or not. It was only hinted at with the bloody helmet.
We can only guess what he was doing if he survived. Any thing is possible.
But then again, he could just be dead.

I think that's a great idea!
If the Dragon King is as powerful as he is made out to be, then Shao Kahn stands no chance unless he can ally himself with some higher power.

hope Raiden, but im just sayin that cuz im a Raiden fanboy and want him in the game.
back on topic, although Kahn was a bad ass in his day i think the DK would tare him a new one, i mean how can u mess with a guy who controls an undefeatable army like Jordanman said. My only ? and mayb sumone can answer it is if this army is so undefeable and the DK is as well how were they beaten in the first place. It may have answered this on DA but i dont remember and am to lazy to see for myself.

Yeah, that would be pretty badass if Shao Kahn allied himself with raiden and the earth warriors to try to overthrow the Dragon King, and then right when they do Kahn goes against his word and reclaims his spot as emperor and like kills a major character. This could also leave good potential for the next game. I dont know tho that was all just a thought.

No at the beginning of MKDA Raiden was talking the whole time and we saw the helmet and it's like SHao Kahn is dead. But I think it was Rekio not Kahn like his ending in MK4 Rekio puts on the helmet well maybe he looked like Kahn and they killed him thinking it was kahn but it wasn't.
But back on subject DK would beat Shao Kahn beyond Belief but I think it would be cool. Like someone said Kahn makes a army and DK has his army and in the intro. Its Kahn Vs Dk and the soldiers run at each other and Kahns armies masicurred and Kan Retreats or Dk kills him but I doubt it.

it doesn't say Shao Kahn is dead in the opening FMV does it? IDT so, but then I haven't played DA for awhile, let alone sat and watch the opening movie.
I think Shao Kahn has gotta be alive, because the narrator (Raiden) never says outright that Shao Kahn is dead *ooh, conspiracy theory formulating, but i won't waste space here...* nor does it show Shao Kahn dying, just his bloody helmet. Whereas Liu Kang (poor Bruce Lee-looking bastard) gets his neck snapped and "Liu Kang... is DEAD" punctuates the sentence... damn, Tekken stole the whole killing off of a major character and saying it aloud all slow and dramatic-like to make it seem more important!!
Anyhow, Liu Kang obviously died, but that didn't stop him from returning in MKD... death is nothing but a minor annoyance in Mortal Kombat, so if Shao did in fact die, than he could still come back. And if he came back as a ghost/spirit/zombie thingy, he couldn't be killed again, and logic tells us that he would kick Repti--er, the Dragon King's scaly green ass from pillar-to-post... unless that theory about Shao being the DK is true *naw... at least I hope not*
And some1 asked, "if the Dragon King was undefeatable, and had an undefeatable army, how did he get stopped in the first place?"
2 theories: first of all, it is never stated that the King himself is undefeatable (wow, that would suck, an unbeatable boss. Kinda makes playing Deception pointless)... maybe some1 avoided his army, stealth attacked his arse and killed him, leaving his army in disarray, so his loyal followers mummified the army (like Egyptians who did this to a pharoah and his servents/pets so they would go with him into the afterlife) until he was ressurected
or... maybe the DK's army wasn't undefeatable in the first place, but now that they've become undead samurai type MFers, they can't be killed

Shao Kahn is out of power. He couldn't raise an army. The question is could he steal an army as the deadlly alliance once tried.

If Kahn had successfully taken over alll realms with Earth as the last he would have power unmatched. If that's so then no one can stop him.
But we don't know much about the Dragon King and his abilities

How can ShaoKahn be outpowered when he's the one who defeated the dk long time ago and took him realm.
