Shazam and Wonderwoman are not affected by magic

I don't really know what reasons they've come up with explaining y characters like Sonya, Jax and Kitana can beat characters like Superman, Shazam and Wonderwoman.

In the story mode video Scorpion kicks Superman who then exclaims "magic!"

If they're saying that it's cos of magic, then they should also have another reason as well, cos Shazam and Wonderwoman are immune to all types of magic.

My other guess was that it's probably due to the merging of realms that the strengths were changing, but i'm not sure if this is the case

Magic is a vulnerability, not a weakness.
Conceptually it undermines rules, it doesn't adhere to them.

Captain Marvel (and Wonder Woman) might have certain resistances, but in general, they're as susceptible as any other character. They're certainly just as challenged by a magically endowed superpower as any other character. Not that Superman is traditionally weakened by the mere presence of magic. Again; it isn't a weakness (like Kryptonite).

Not that any of this matters in a cross promotional fundraiser that depends on playing with the shiney big toys. Spring is in the air. Joker can punch-out Jax, Kano can laser-eye Captain Marvel.

Why would Shazam and Diana be hurt by magic.

Shazam pretty much IS magic, and Wonder Woman is... hell, Wonder Woman!

Mick-Lucifer explained it perfectly already. Wonder Woman is affected by magic since on of her greatest foes (Circe) relies on magic and has been able to best Wonder Woman.
