Sonya's baby's daddy is the Dragon King. Or....the Dragon King could be Shinnok's 5th cousin twice removed who we all know as Link from Legend of Zelda fame. He is dead, thank God. Why can't we just go with Reptile as the Dragon King? It works. It makes sense. Personally, I would love to see Reptile as the Dragon King. Throughout Mortal Kombat history, he's been nothing but somebody's bitch. After he transforms into the Dragon King, he starts inacting his revenge for all those years of suffering at the hands of his masters. Not to mention that he has that big ass army now.

Anything is possible, but really reading into the game should be seen as just a fun type of thing, although some theroies have become quite compelling in the past no-one should take it real seriously as a dogma, because MK DOES NOT follow logic in all casses itself.
