Shirai-Ryu Mask Glitch?

Maybe I missed something... but in the Chaosrealms, one of the side-missions is to find the fallen clans member and take the mask to the clans member. Now, I did that... then I went back to the area that I found the fallen member, and I was curious, so I "looked" at it again. And it gave me the mask again.
Is it supposed to give me the mask twice? I'm thinking of looking for the other clan member again and seeing if he takes it, and if the mask will be there again when I go look. Edit: Well, he doesn't take the second mask, so it's sitting in my inventory; the caption below it, however, says "A member of the Shirai-Ryu clan is searching for this dead warrior's mask."

Same thing happened to me. I think that in my case, it had to do with me not completing the mission for the Lin Kue in Earthrealm.
**SPOILER**
You talk to one of the guys in hoods where sub zero is. He sends you to find where the Shirai-Ryu are hiding. I had a letter that said something like "We will disguise ourselves as Raiden worshipers" I went and talked to the Raiden worshippers by the fire, and had to fight. After defeating them, I got another mask to give to the cloaked man near sub zero. Regardless, I have used 2 masks for 2 different missions, but still have a 3rd.
PS... Does anyone know what artifact I am supposed to get for the other hooded figure near sub zero in Earthrealm (the one by the door)? And, where do I get said artifact?
