Scorpion would not be the same without his spear move. The spear DEFINES him. But would the removal of his Hapkido fighting style affect him in the same way? Should the MK-team switch fighting styles between characters or should they keep them as they were in MKDA?

I dunno MK is a long runnign series and you have to have new things in it all the time but then again the fighting styles, i think personnaly that they dont go with MK cause they are pointless
but if they did decide to keep them then they should have them different cause peoples already know how to use them and they would be masters at the new game already without even playing it.

I think they should stay but then again i think they should change. The reason why they should stay and not be changed is because how could they just forget those fighting styles and learn new ones like that. I find it kinda dumb. But some chracters fighting styles i didnt like at all. Kitana being one of them. Her Steel Fan move set was really kool, but the rest your reall bad. She should have more mellow moves not so violent and having her legs spread wide open all the time. She didnt seem like a SHE she was more like a HE/SHE.

I think they should. I dont see any reason why not... There is still a ton of room to expand on the already established styles anyway so give everyone more moves and combos with their existing styles. Plus everyone could have another style to go along with them... Or for some people who a weapon may not suit them they could just have three hand to hand styles and no weapon. the possibilities are endless ya know?

i think all the styles should be tweaked a little bit to add gameplay value and extend combo's. but i think most of the styles should remain with the characters from mkda.

changes:
scorpion's weapon style - suits kenshi more
quan chi's weapon style - change to living weapon
cyrax's weapon style - too many swords, change to sonya's mk4 spinning blade??
Drahmin - lose the "oni" style and change his second hand to hand to be the club but less powerful and incorporate a proper weapon style eg. the rusty blade imbedded in his back.

no changes or just minor tweaks:
kenshi
raiden
shang tsung
kano
johnny cage
sonya
sub zero - more kori blade moves

i say change all the damn weapons around exept for raiden cage and kenshi, and add new moves to the weapons styles. i say keep the styles but change the button combinations for the moves and add new ones or take a style out for a character and add a new style in.

haaaa haaaaaaaa, LMAO lol. thats hillarious to me for some reason i dunno y. Anyway. I'd like to see the same styles n shit for each character but i think if they do that then it'd be kinda old. Unless they added to the styles with more moves in each or some shit. N yet I wouldn't mind seeing new styles/moves all together I guess. For scorpion, since he'll have a new body n shit I think it may be appropriate to give him new shit. I do love everything about him in 5 though n would hate to see everything new, yes and no. Scorpion is the ABSOLUTE shit in 5!

I don't care, as long as they have a lot of moves.

But I think you should be able to change their fighting style without the character changing the way they walk or stand unless they use a weapon. I say that because some of the stances, not the moves are stupid.

They should keep their styles so we still have some familiarity witht the characters from MKDA. However, more combos and more new moves in each style should be added.

no- they should for most of the characters combine the 2 unarmed styles. I seem to be the only person here that thinks that though. sad

Keep most of the fighting styles, but create some better way of switching between them. Although, I do wish Kitana got some fighting styles more suited for her character.

I do agree. Kitana needs more feminine fighting styles. Plus alot of her moves were crappy. Other than that, they're fine.

Yes if the MK team can build on those fighting stlyes. No if they can't. I would like something new in terms of gameplay.

Yes, some of them at least. Like Sonya and Scorpion, those 2 had killer styles, but they should return with new styles.

Others like Kitana need to be improved.
