Hell no. Doomsday is nothing more than the big guy that kills things. He isn't good for anything else. He hasn't much of a purpose and his personality is practically non-existend.

Should he have been an additional character? Maybe, maybe not. But in the place of Darkseid? Hell freaking no.

Heck, someone like Lobo should be in this before Doomsday is even being considered. He can traid blows with Superman as well. Is practically immortal because hell and heaven kicked him out. He's a bounty hunter with a mean attitude, heavy metal fan, womanizer and his blood thirstiness makes the whole MK universe look like a bunch of pansies.

I think doomsday should be in the game, but i don't think he should have gotten in before darkseid. But i think some of us do forget that theres a big difference between comic books and video games, all of you that say that doomsday would be too powerful please just chill out, and stop taking it all so seriously. Also, i agree with whoever wants lobo in the game, that would have been a good call.

Darkseid's loss to Doomsday was a pathetically written comic to make Doomsday look like a threat again. A REAL fight with Darkseid would have removed Doomsday from existence, and there would be no Doomsday. Darkseid is a god, and not just any god, but the Skyfather of Apokolips (aka, head god). He was created by the legendary Jack Kirby, in a far superior story to Death of Superman, years earlier. During the time, he was even stronger than Silver Age Superman, who makes the current one look pathetic by far. But, years of bad writing have made him into a less team wrecking threat, and into a Superman baddie. Then again, Final Crisis is really bringing Darkseid back up to glorious heights of powers and fear. That, and they retconned every previous fight with Darkseid to be an avatar, a shadow of his power from the Fourth World, greatly weaker than his normal self.

Exactly. Darkseid is a powerful, conquorer/ruler. A good Parallel for Shao Kahn. He's also got that god status, like Shinnok, but he didn't get his ass curb-stomped to the Netherrealm, like Raiden did to him. lol

Darkseid deserves to be in this game. To have Doomsday in this game over Darkseid would be a wrong move in my opinion. I wouldn't mind seeing Doomsday as some DLC or something, but in place of Darkseid...NO!

I don't think Darkseid and Shao Kahn are the bosses. It did mention the merged conqueror on worldscollide.com, and the achievements have a "Dark Kahn" achievement. So, I imagine that's the boss.

Hell no, Doomsday isn't a character he's a plot device, he's sucks and he's pretty much the leagues punching bag these days. He's also too stupid to be Khan's counterpart. Darksied on the other hand a ruler and a conqueror who's both very intelligent and extremely powerful and he has even used Doomsday as his minion......hell, Luthor has manipulated Doomsday too.

Technically, He isn't the final boss he's just one half of the final boss.The final boss itself isn't playable.

The father of Darkseid has the last name Kahn. I imagine this will tie into the merge of MK and DC. Therefore, Darkseid is an important character to the game. Doomsday is a cool bad guy, but not a great tie in.
