Should MK:D put more emphasis on character development, story development, or back-story via Konquest?

MK:D is perfect for bringing in newbies to the MK world, with every MK character appearing in Konquest mode, but MK:D could also very easily clear up all the confusion MK:DA left in its wake. It would be easy, and welcome, to have the game expose just how all the other characters relate to one another. MK:DA had some of this (such as Cyrax disliking Johnny Cage; Sonya and Frost disliking each other; Kung Lao training under Bo'Rai Cho; etc.), but I think it would be interesting to see what Cyrax feels towards Sub-Zero now that Cyrax has his soul back. How does Sub-Zero feel towards Quan Chi after the huge "revelation"? What will Kitana and Kung Lao think of Liu Kang's "return"? Heck, how does Sonya feel about Nightwolf? How does Mileena think of Shang Tsung? All these characters exist, but until recently, aside from the Kano/Sonya/Jax and Sub-Zero/Scorpion rivalry, not much is known about many of the character's motivations, back-stories, feelings, etc. What I'm trying to say is, how can these fighters become more "real"? Through story, individual development, or history? Fatality.

yes of course! I hope that Konquest will put a lot of emphasis on the storyline, because for hardcore MK gamers, this element is important

I'd better clarify. Should MK:D be story-driven, more so than all previous MK games? Or should the fighting take precedence over logic, story continuation, etc? Fatality.

I think individual character development should be the most important part of this game.

"cough" GAMEPLAY "cough"

tongue

I'd like to see more character development, more personality development actually. More, nuances, peeves, interests, etc.
