In my opinion he couldn't do that, 'cause Shao is not dead. I think if Quan & Shang's attack was successful it would be clearly stated, like in case of Liu Kang.

possible - could be an interesting twist to see Khan(his style/movez)live on. Similar to how the Snake style(Kang) was obtained by Shang Tsung. Mr. Tsung was the original baddie & could become that much more powerful in storyline.

1. Shao Kahn died in MK:DA; there's no way that 4 people (Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Reptile, and Kano) can all make the same mistake in determining whether someone is dead or not.

2. In his Konquest, Shang Tsung learned the Snake and Crane styles through absorbing countless souls and mixing their fighting styles to create them, so Liu Kang's soul could've played a part in his styles, but I doubt that his soul really made that much of an impact on his fighting styles.

One of the styles of Liu Kang it was the Jeet Kune Do, the one that uses to defend itself of Shang Tsung in intro, that was created by Bruce Lee.

I believe that one of the 2 styles of fight of Shao Kahn he will be wrestling (although I hope that she makes more movements than Hsu Hao... that is more type Zangief or Rainbow Mika of the Street Fighters saga).

I don't imagine to Shao Kahn fighting with the style Snake or Crane, nor either with the Shuai Chiao (along with the style of wrestling, would have styles such that Hsu Hao)... it would bet more by styles of fight like the Aikido or the Hung Gar.

And, returning to the original subject from post... no, I don't believe that it consumed its soul, because Shao Kahn still alive...

I stand by what I said; however, Johnny Cage, Mileena, Scorpion, Sindel, and Reiko have all died (whether in the storyline before Mortal Kombat or during the series), and yet one way or another, they've come back to life and participated in the series. Whether Kahn has a soul or not that could NEVER happen. Other way around bud. Shang is a powerful sorcerer in his own right but he is not Kahn's equal. And Kahn is too Powerful and deadly to be considered a sorcerer.

And if Shang even made a foolish attempt he would wind up slain. And I believe Kahn would keep some secrets just to prevent himself from being too vulnerable to any of his henchmen

I think it said in Kano's Konquest mode that Kahn almost beat both Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, so I guess in a one on one fight, Kahn could beat Tsung.
