Should we revive the Mercy finisher for MKD?

Not much else to say, but if you don't remember, Mercys were the necessary elements in order to do animalities in MK3.

Now, by no means do I ask if you want to revive animalities, since I freakin loath animalities. But I think the Mercy always had potential. Maybe this time, they could combine the idea with friendships, or even make necessary in order to do advanced fatalities(you know, ones that are actually interesting).

I actualy started the exact same thread last month.
I would like to see them return, but most people who answered my thread said no - they're useless.
I think they're fun and I loved it when the announcer says "Sektor grants Mercy!" or somethin like that!

They'd be fun for online battles where you've completely decimated your opponent.

Just don't bring back the associated animality. wink

I always liked them. There's nothing like having Mercy granted to you and then end up winning. :D

I agree temp, and IMO i would like it if the mercy's returned, except without the animalities. I would like to see the mercy's going with the whole friendship idea, IMO it sounds cool and right.

I dunno, if they completely redid the animalities so they weren't so friggen pathetic looking they'd be alright. And they definitely should bring back the mercy's, especially with the online play. Nothin better then a come from behind ass woopin.

I say if you bring them back, then when you preform mercy that ends the match. Say you have a great match and you decide that the match was so good that it would be just wrong to finish your opponent.

I think that's an excellent idea and a worthy edition to Mortal Kombat: Deception.

As everyone has said, the online elements would really make the mercy worthwhile and fun.. I honestly hope that they think to include it in future Mortal Kombat games. grin
